Recurring miscarraige tests

Looking for a bit of advice, I've just had my second miscarraige from my second transfer. The clinic have said that they'll test for lupus anticoagulant in 6-12 weeks but they are not checking any hormone levels just now. I had hyperstimulation after retrieval then a cyst between miscarraiges so I'm worried that my hormones are causing the problems. Can anyone tell me what tests you have had? Is there anything that I should be requesting?

Thanks x

I tend to get my estrogen and progesterone checked on each of my pregnancies .. second pregnancy which MC def was hormone related issues. First pregnancy hormones were great and we weren't able to explain things until I had my chicago bloods done . Turns out I have very high natural killer cells and cytokins that attack my pregnancies .. immune issues can also affect hormones. So could be a consideration for you.

Equally I also had thrombophila testing done this looks for blood clotting issues.. I am homozygous mthfr so now I also need to be on clexane and aspirin aswell.

Sorry to hear of your loss and wishing you success and baby dust xx

Thank you, I spoke to the clinic today and they said that eat and prog tests wouldn't mean anything at the moment ad I've been taking them artificially. I'll just need to trust that they know what they are doing. Thanks for your advice though, sounds like you have had a rough time with all. Really hope things work out for you! X

Surprisingly my natural pregnancy my hormones were great estrogen over 3000 and Progesterone 178 and my IVF pregnancy hormones were non existent 70 estrogen and 25 progesterone and that was after stimming so the clinics response isn't always the case .. they had to triple my dose of progesterone to help the pregnancy however hormones were just way off for it to be a successful outcome for us... but equally my immune system was also in attack so it very likely my antibodies were attacking my hormones and pregnancy

Unfortunately they only test after your third miscarriage unless you are older, like I am. Definitely test for blood cltoting conditions, I was found to have two after having tests for two first trimester miscarriages. All the best x

Thanks, yeah they are doing the blood clot tests and will do some chromosomes test so that's good. Hope they get your medication right for your next try X x
