Uterus stuck to tummy after c section

Hi everyone

We had our follow-up appointment yesterday after our first cycle had failed. The consultant said the one thing that they noticed when they were trying to do the (FET) transfer was that my uterus was hiding behind my bladder therefore it was being pushed higher and higher and my cervix just seems never-ending. I think this is why I found it really uncomfortable and the consultant found it hard to get to my uterus. The conclusion is that they believe the next time we have a transfer that I should not have a full bladder, in fact, I may just have a completely empty bladder. We also discussed whether he thought it was a implantation issue to which he said no. He went into great deal of explanation about the fact that it doesn’t matter how high the grade is of your Embro the fact is that some embryos or abnormal even though they have a high grade. As well as now deciding that we are going to have a down r he went into great deal of explanation about the fact that it doesn’t matter how high the grade is of you Embro the fact is that some embryos are abnormal even though they have a high grade. As well as now deciding that we’re going to have a down reg , we have also decided to have every single frozen embryo tested for abnormality so when it does come to the next cycle we are only putting in a normal embryo. This is going to cost a lot of money but I’m trying to work out the cost to my emotional, mental and physical mindset . We want to optimise this cycle as much as possible.

I just wanted to know if anyone here has gone through the same thing or have had problems conceiving because the uterus is stuck to their tummy after a C section. Is there any advice that anyone can give me or any other protocol that you guys have gone through to conceive ?

Hi David’s. Just wondered whether your specialist had any thoughts about separating your adhesions, or is it ok to continue with IVF. Hope it works next time whatever type of cycle you have. Diane

Hi Diane

There has been no discussion in regards to separating the adhesions. In fact I’m not quite sure who I would go to to get a referral to have that done. My main worry is that will this impact my next ivf cycle and getting pregnant

Hi. Have a chat with your GP and see whether he/she old refer you to a gynaecologist for a consultation. Otherwise ask the questions of your fertility specialist. Diane
