We went for our second appointment today. I found the whole experience pointless however I’ve come away with some leaflets and some blood tests written down to take to my husbands GP!
The GP of course couldn’t understand it. The first one he could read, we know the second one is a cystic fibrosis test but anyone have a clue with the 3rd one???
Have any of you lovely ladies have partners/husbands that have had to be referred for these?
Another hoop we have got to jump through!
My rant will follow... 😡🤬

My husband had all of those done, mainly due to the fact that he had a very low sperm count so they were trying to find a reason for it. I think the last one says SA +/- freeze but its pretty small on my screen and could be wrong as in sperm analysis +/- freeze. Has your OH half had any sperm analysis done yet? The reason I ask is my hubby froze sperm as they feared his very low sperm count would get worse and they wanted to make sure we had enough for treatment. It hasnt gotten worse but glad we did it to be on the safe side!xx
Thanks hun, I think it does say that. He’s had two but the second one was worse so now I remember why she mentioned freezing. I just wish they wouldn’t talk so fast and they had better handwriting. X
Im a bit of an expert deciphering Dr's handwriting working in the health sector....its diabolical most of the time!! It's a bit of a nightmare to try to remember everything from the appts too!xx
I'm a pharmacist so I literally make my money deciphering doctors handwriting and I agree with what Cinderella5 has put.
Why don't you being a piece of paper and a pen with you to the appointment that's what I do then I write notes down so I can refer back. I also write all the questions down I want to ask as you do get completely overwhelmed with info. At the end of the appointment I go through all the questions making sure they have all being answered and I'm happy with them. I actually carry a wee notebook in my handbag as questions occur to me at the weirdest times.
I hope you manage to get all of the issues resolved.
