Hi everyone. I’ve got my pre-op assessment on Monday and my actual laparoscopy in 2 weeks time. I’m having it done as I’ve got a hydrosalpinx and may need the tube removed and they want to see if the other tube is ok. I’m wondering 2 things- 1- if anyone has any advice on what to ask at my pre-op assessment? 2- how long did you need off work after just investigative procedure or tube removal as I assume it’s longer if the tube is removed. Thanks in advance for your help

Hi there. I have had two laparoscopys both for hydrosalpinx. The first one was to put a clip on my right tube and a general tidy up (so to speak!) and the second was just to literally put a clip on my left tube (diagnosed separately hence the two).
Both times I was signed off work for two weeks and both times I felt fine by the end of the first week.
Good luck with the op I hope it goes well xx
