Scared FET

Any one blessed with first cycle working and then go for a FET? How did you feel? Nearly at my transfer date and trying to stay positive but really not sure how I will feel if it’s negative 😬

My first cycle we didn’t get to do transfer due to hyper stimulation so the first transfer I got was FET and that is now my two year old. I was told at my second cycle that the chances with fet now are virtually the same as fresh. My second cycle I had fresh transfer and had my second baby boy last month. We’ve been extremely lucky. But each time I have prepared myself for failure more than I have for success. After we’d been so lucky with my first baby I didn’t dare to let myself think it could be successful again and it was to be our last attempt too. It probably made me anxious all through the pregnancy that we were being “too lucky” but I don’t think there’s anything you can do to avoid anxiety in this process! Good luck x

My first cycle at my new clinic gave me my 2 and a half year old (he was fet). A year later I had my last fet and I am feeding one of my 10 month old twins

Keep positive and good luck x

I was really lucky to be successful in my first fresh cycle and have 3 Frosties too. When I had my first FET trying for no 2 I was pretty anxious as I’d never had an unsuccessful round before so I wasn’t sure how I’d feel if it didn’t work. It was a strange round because it was a chemical pregnancy. When I initially saw the BFP it didn’t surprise me but then when I got a BFN a few days later that didn’t surprise me either. It was almost as if I’d expected it. Anyway, it took another couple of roundsbut I did get my second BFP and I’ve now got a 6 week old as well as my little monkey from my fresh cycle. I did find each subsequent cycle harder to do and was more anxious with each one. My consultant said that if you’ve been successful once the odds of you being successful a second time increases so you have every chance of this cycle working, or if not then a future cycle working. Good luck!

First fresh icsi cycle worked (shes now 15 months). Had one frostie left over and the clinic said there's a higher chance of success if one of the batch of embryos was successful so we were really positive about it. Otd was Tuesday and its a bfn. Quite hard to get my head round it as we just thought it would work. However we have a daughter and at least we tried. Good luck in your transfers x

I was meant to have a fresh transfer but due to ohss, had my eggs frozen. I was gutted for the delay but I was extremely lucky to get my bfp with my first ever transfer. They do say fets have higher success rates.

Good luck x

I’m in the same boat. My FET is next month and last cycle I had a bfp then mc.

I don’t know how I’ll feel if it ends with bfn - it’ll all be over I guess. Good luck with yours x
