I had a laparoscopy done in november to check for endometriosis and blockage in my tubes. Endo removed and tubes open but slow due to some scarring. We have been referred to fertillity clinic and first appointment is in a week and a half. I know they will either suggest an op to remove scarring or ivf. Ivf is out, we have a child together already. And rather than having another op im trying to unblock them naturally.
Im already taking serrapaptase and doing castor oil packs, which is passing tissue, but has anyone on here tried herbal tampons? These things look amazing but bit scared to stick them up there 🙈, any experience anyone?

Hi Purplewitch. I don't wish to sound negative, but I wouldn't start using any form of tampons, in case you introduce any infection. My thoughts of course. Not too long to wait for your appointment, so perhaps wait and see what they advise at the clinic. Good luck! Diane
I will update if i do. Been on it for a month so far, been trying for 17 months and had a laparoscopy in november to see what was happening. Endometriosis removed but tubes slow, will see what the fertillity clinic say as they will probably check my tubes again. If they are clearer then it must be working x
Unfortunately not, I spoke to a gyno before Christmas and she was like there’s no reason why you shouldn’t conceive naturally. It’s just not happening.
Every month (as periods are now regular) I keep hoping things will change but it’s always the same old story.
I’m happy to try most things but I think the herbal tampon thing is a step too far - goodness knows what’s in them and they are more likely to cause an infection rather than fix the slow tubes.
I bet our ‘slow/sluggish’ tubes were that way when we conceived. We just got lucky.
I have a feeling (I’ve said it before) that my eggs are picky and I don’t think the sperm is cutting the mustard lol xx
I know how you feel when my period comes every month it just makes me want to give up. I was told my tubes were slow as there is some scarring, so will see what the clinic say. Ive been pregnant 3 times naturally, but think my situation must be worse now because its not happening. I guess we have to keep trying and hoping xx
My tubes are also slow moving so keen to understand what they recommend for you. I’m awaiting my 3rd (and hopefully final) laparoscopy next month and hoping this will improve things though. Not sure on herbal tampons to be honest. I used castor packs before but never noticed any of experiences you are having. Best of luck to you.
Thankyou, and to you too. I will update when ive been to the clinic and understand more, as i never got to see my consultant after my op so fertillity will be the ones who have my notes. Im not hopefull they will help though, worried they will just try and push ivf on us. It seems nearly everyone on here is having ivf xx
It seems that way doesn’t it. Our recommendation is for ivf after this laparoscopy and certainly the way the are pushing things for me and my partner. They kept saying they are worried about ectopic as slow moving so it will be interesting to compare advice from different consultants! x
So we went to the clinic today, and were told my tubes are worse than we thought and are deformed as in wavy instead of a smooth curve. She also said my egg reserve is half of what she would expect for my age. Said shes not saying we cant get pregnant but as im 39 with low eggs then ivf is our best option. So it was worse than i even thought it could be and i came home and threw all my ov tests etc in the bin. Feel absolutely broken now, and that there is no hope. It isnt even because of the endometriosis either! She thinks due to an old infection from 20 years ago i never even knew about. Said my tubes were probably ok when i had my daughter but detoriarote quickly with age.
Im a mess now, trying to accept there is no hope 😓
