Tubes are going...

Anyone else in the same boat as me. I'm scheduled to have my tubes out november, I've had all the tears and upset. Have been told by my doctor it will heighten the chance of having a successful ivf treatment, so spirits were lifted. I just worry about the op itself.

I'm having mine removed due to appendicitis going very wrong two years ago age 23.

So ivf train it is.

I've read about the ivf process but unsure how they go about certain things like removing yours eggs as I won't have any tubes to go through? do they still go that way or what....confused. Thanks stacie x

Hi Hun I had one of my tubes removed when I was 17 due to appendicitis also and my other tube is blocked so it's like I have none. I'm 24 now been with my partner 8 years. I had ivf 3months ago I had to freeze all my embryos due to high risk of OHSS and have 11 frozen 😊 so you can still go through ivf with no tubes good luck with everything. I have my frozen embryo cycle this month once you start it goes really quick xxxx

Also when they do egg collection you are sedated and they put a little needle straight into your ovaries so you don't need your tubes 😊 xx

Hi hun thanks for commenting. What is ohss? Not sure where weee going with it as yet as i have to put some weight on before they will transfer us to a clinic. Theres so many rules for it all. I had been told that but didn't know if it was correct or not. Glad ill be sedated. Its amazing how much damage appendicitis can actually do. Good luck with yours too. X

Hi Hun I always new from the age of 16 that I would need ivf and ive been withy partner since then so I was pretty lucky. I was on short protocol because I have polycystic ovaries so I produce a lot I follicles which carry our eggs. So I only had injections for about 11 days. OHSS is over stimulation of your ovaries I had 31 eggs collected so was very high risk I didnt get it though. I only had pain for about an hour after egg collection and was completely fine which was lucky because of the eggs. It's unbeliveable how much damage it can do though. Have you actually seen a fertility doctor yet or will you see somebody after you have had your tubes removed? Xxxxx

I'm having mine either clipped or removed next month. I've been the same emotionally but know that this has to happen to give us the best chance of success.

Hope all goes well for you

They will retrieve your eggs and put it in a dish and take your partners sperm. Once they have fertilized they will place it back into your womb...

All the best.
