Could i have people’s opinions please. I have been and bought some aspirin after reading a few success stories from it. I think someone said to take from day 1 of ovulation until AF (if it comes) is this the recommendation everyone else had it? Just want to confirm. Thanks 😊xx
Baby aspirin (75mg): Could i have... - Fertility Network UK
Baby aspirin (75mg)
I used aspririn on advice from my clinic. So long as you've not been told not to take it I reckon it's worth a try. They say it can help with issues for blood flow to the uterus! Very mixed advice out There! Good luck.xx
As Cinderella has said, there are mixed view on it so I'd check with your doctor or consultant first. I had recurrent miscarriage issues and asked the clinic if it would help and was told not to take it.
I have a need for blood thinners however my clinic told me not to take aspirin and to only use my prescribed clexane. They said that aspirin can affect egg quality. Well the clexane didn't work on my 2nd IVF cycle and I didn't get to transfer anything on my 3rd cycle to try the clexane again! So I'm trying naturally and taking aspirin. There's been research for and now there's research against. I'm giving it a whirl just to tick it off the list of things to try xx
After a miscarriage last summer, followed by the thrombophilia panel of blood tests, I had one slightly raised result for the lupus anticoagulant. The bupa clinic advised to test that again and that if still raised then either baby aspirin or maybe something stronger would be prescribed by my clinic.
The second result came back normal. The clinic told me it was up to me if I took it, but it would do no harm.
I put myself on them immediately. We did our 3rd fet in October and today I am 18 weeks.
I should also add that the first thing my midwife asked me is was I taking it, as due to my age they would have put me on it immediately. I am 42.
Xx
Ideally you should consult with your fertility specialist or GP, to be sure it’s safe for you to take.
I took it after my period had finished & continued till period was due. I have raised nk cells ( which fertility dr said I could take prednisone but only from a positive test) & I also have endometriosis so thought the aspirin would suppress my endometriosis & nk cells. I had also experienced a early miscarriage so I wanted to give it my best chance as it were!
I can’t say whether it the winning factor in my BFP because there were so many; endometriosis being all cleared out, following the anti inflammatory diet for endometriosis, taking clomid to boast ovulation, low dose aspirin, evening primrose oil from period till ovulation tracked by sticks & temperature, using a progesterone cream from day 8 till 26 ( my fertility doctor has authorised progesterone pessaries from a positive test) A lot of what I did was self research but I believed it made a difference ❤️ I’m now 23 weeks ❤️
Sometimes it does pay off to do research, it might be the thing that makes that difference in achieving your pregnancy 😍
I’m wishing you the best & truly hope you get your BFP very soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻✨✨❤️❤️❤️ xoxo
Hey, my last cycle I was put on 5mg due to a MMC from my 1st cycle, sadly it ended in a BFN and this cycle I'm going to be on 75mg aspirin and also Clexane. I would recommend speaking to your Consultant before taking it.
Hope all goes well xx
I would speak to your consultant first, I have had recurring miscarriage so they put me on blood thinners and aspirin just for a few days xx
After two miscarriages our consultant recommended taking it. I have just given birth to my daughter 4 days ago. I took it once a day throughout the my whole pregnancy. I would not hesitate doing it again should we think about trying again. I was also having fertility reflexology alongside which I think was really helpful.
