Friend's sad scan news

Hi All, I am posting to get some advice about a friend of mine. She is currently pregnant with twins (10 wks) and had her harmony/panarama tests yesterday. She has had 14 miscarriages and still fighting this fertility battle. She had mixed news yesterday with one twin being fine and the other twin has fluid in the neck and has been told there is a high chance of chromosomal abnormalities or a heart defect. She has been told to prepare for the worst. She is tearful and so upset as you can imagine. She also spoke to a consultant last night who says that if she aborts one twin, then there is a 10% chance she will lose the other. I feel so helpless and wish there was something I could do.

Are there any ladies on here who have been through anything similar and can offer advice or share their experiences please? Thank you xx

I think there’s a lady on here somewhere who was told a similarly worrying thing about her baby (not twins) and in the end it was a false alarm. She gave birth to a healthy little girl. I can’t advise unfortunately but I hope all will be well for your friend’s babies xx
