Success with ET after normal CD18-21?

We are having our first donor egg cycle in Cyprus after a failed OE cycle 3 months ago as with DOR my eggs aren't so great. Due to going abroad and scheduling we are doing a medicated transfer and I started on BCP towards the end of August, had Prostap injection day 21 of that cycle (14th Sep) and started Provera for 10 days after that. I was hoping that after stopping the Provera my AF would be delayed for 2 weeks to bring us in line with donor's schedule and our travel dates, however it showed up 2 days after taking the last one. I started Progynova last Friday evening (CD3) after my baseline scan confirmed lining was thin and ovaries quiet. As we planned in advance we're hoping our donor's EC will be 25 Oct and ET will be 30 Oct which means I'll be on CD36 on transfer day. My clinic has reassured me that because of the prior down-reg it doesn't really matter what day of my cycle ET occurs as it isn't a real cycle as long as I start progesterone 5 days prior to ET. I can't help worrying that being on estrogen too long (it'll have been 4 weeks by the time progesterone is introduced) will negatively impact my lining, hopefully it won't be too thick by then, or that my depot shot will have started to wear off and I'm at risk of my ovaries kicking back into action.

I'm aware that most tend to have DET/FET around day 18-21 and wondered if anyone had success with a later transfer in their cycle? I feel like I'm constantly worrying about this and have not heard of many having such late transfers.

Hi Shelbo. I had my first DE ivf in August and was also worried about the timing of the transfer and being out of sync. As I understand it is the 5 days of progesterone is most critical to the uterus receptivity.

I think it doesn't matter how long so much as long as you have the right lining and the right support. They will test your bloods and adjust accordingly.

Thanks, I'll potentially only have one further scan/bloods done before transfer which is on Tuesday, I'll only have further if my lining's not thick enough. Because of cycling abroad I have to arrange my own scans though they did say I could arrange another for reassurance, toying with the idea of doing that xx

It doesnt matter what day you have transfer with a medicated FET. The important thing is your lining being good (which they will check on U/S scan) and at that point you can start progesterone in prep for transfer. As this is medicated the clinic pretty much have full control of your body etc so try not to worry!xx
