After 6 months with no period at all, I started bleeding again...
Back in March I was told that due to my low AMH and high FSH I would have to get a donor to get some viable eggs to conceive. At this point my periods where already irregular or with long cycles.
I took the matter into my own hands and made a few changes to try to improve whatever possible and started taking, among others, Ubiquinol - it’s supposed to help with the remainder eggs...
Could it be that it was the supplements? Did anyone here had the same?

I would say it is possible for the body to restore itself. I guess you need to see how this cycle looks like and when the next bleed comes. Well done for taking things in your own hands and good luck x
Hi what is your AMH? I had it explained to me that the quality not just the quantity reduces. My cycle can go from 28 days to 56 days. I took the view of having healthy quality eggs from a donor rather than trying with my own but a lady posted yesterday to say her amh was 0.4 and she got some eggs one fertilised and back in which is brilliant. My amh is 0.3. I think you just never know what is going to happen on this journey and you have to try anything you think you can. Great if tablets helping. Drs are great but the strangest things really do happen on the journey. Good luck xx
My AMH is 1.1 and I started having irregular cycles since December, just now seems to be getting back to normal. Have you started treatment atready?
Yeah two donor egg transfers. Bfp first one then miscarriage then nothing the next one. Next transfer soon with new donor. Feels very surreal. More like a process this time with little emotional attachment. I have a list of plans for after this cycle as no expectations of it working. Think I’m being an ostrich 🙈🙈.
Oh I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage...but I totally understand if you're trying to protect yourself from another heart break.
Well... if I did what the doctor told me in May, I would have gone straight to egg donor but I hated her so much that I decided to go for a second opinion and my GP said that I should at least try do apply for a NHS referral with my own eggs. I have my appointment in November but it feels like forever waiting for it.
How was your experience (process wise) with donor/ clinic?
I’m to old for nhs referral and was told clearly donor was best option. As we are paying for it we had no choice as couldn’t afford financially to do both. We went abroad and wish we hadn’t. There were some plus points but far more negative. I think The abroad journey really scarred us. The time we are more local and it’s so much easier. Don’t know if that’s why it feels more surreal as it almost seems to easy compared to our previous times. Next hurdle for us is the fertilising of eggs and wait to see if we get embryos. It might become more real then. No one can prepare you for the highs and lows of this.
Again out of curiosity I had the coil before I started this. My periods were perfect then. I have read that erratic periods can come after having the coil. Just a thought if you had it too. Also despite my low amh I still ovulated and when I had scans had follicles so fingers crossed as yours is higher and your younger you will bet some great eggs. Fingers crossed for you xxx
