August, let the ball roll again

After our first cycle failed in November (2 eggs, 1 mature but not fertilised) and a polyp removed last June, we've now just started a second IVF

I luckily have just 1 injection a day to do - Gonal F is not prefilled so I can mix it with Menopur. We're trying a mild IVF cycle: 150 Gonal, 150 Menopur for 12 days.

Being with low amh (0.4) at 35, chances are realistically quite low (8%) but we decided to give it another try before going to egg donation. Doc said the best I should get this time is 3 eggs... We'll hopefully collect them, fertilize with ICSI and freeze the embryos. Then we'll start another round immediately after and at the end of it we'll do PGS + transfer of the best embryo.

So yeah, it's time for me to start fighting again!

at the beginning it takes a while to follow exactly what I've been told to do but after 3 days I feel more confident. I'm sure you'll be fine too good luck!!

Just read some of your posts: we’ll go for ICSI as DH has borderline motility and the clinic here in USA recommended to let him take these supplements:

Male Formula- The following supplements can help enhance male fertility. A Male Fertility blend can be found online at Coast Science and is called the Male Fertility Supplement (MFS). Vitamin D is not included in this supplement blend.

• Diet – a healthy diet with fruits (berries especially), vegetables, low red meat, and no trans fats (low saturated fats). *If you have diabetes, please discuss with your physician

• CoQ10 200 mg twice daily - Improves sperm count and motility

• Vitamin D 800 IU daily- Improves sperm quality. *Check your multivitamin, may already contain this

• Vitamin C 500 mg daily- Improves sperm count, motility and structure. *Check your multivitamin

• Omega 3 fatty acids 500-1,200 mg daily – Potentially helps improve blood flow to the pelvic organs (testicles). Recent studies suggest improved sperm quality.

• L-Citrulline – 2,000mg improves all sperm parameters

• Pycnogenol – found in pomegranate, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, dark or low sugar chocolate, green tea, fruit and vegetables (natural antioxidants) or can be consumed in supplement form ~ 40-60 mg twice daily

At the end of the day he’s taking that MFS pill (pretty inclusive of all), omega 3 and COQ10 only as otherwise he starts complaining too much hahah
