Back again! IVF ICSI August ❤️

So I’m here again ladies!A little back ground from me in 2017 I went to do IVF ICSI in dec and I had to abandon the cycle due to me not responding well to 150 menapur. On my 8 day stimm scan it only showed that I had 3 follicles measuring under 10mm. Fast forward to March 2018 I started again this time I was put on 75 menapur and 225 gonal-f with resulted in me getting 21 eggs! 🥚😁 but then I was told I had OHSS and had to wait AGAIN so then fast forward to September and I did my first FET, only 1 blastocyst made it and luckily worked! Which has resulted in my amazing little girl! Overwhelmed with love 💕

I’m back again due to start my IVF ICSI journey again in August! I’m soo nervous but excited at the same time because I know how hard it is emotionally.

Is anyone due to start there ivf journey in July/august. we could support each other and be that person to talk to when we need a little cheer up xx

I hav done with my egg pick up...10 retrieved 4 A grade embryos frozen

And yesterday was my era...

And I guess in July mid I'll be having my embryo trnsfer....so I think we r pretty much sailing on same boat😉.......ya...we cud surely share out experiences with each other...glad to do so....😀

Hi twobaby,

4 A grade frozen that’s so good! Is there a specific reason you had to freeze and not do a fresh transfer? I’m hoping this time round I can do a fresh cycle as last time with me getting that OHSS it isn’t possible! So hopefully they get me on a right dose of drugs this time 😂. I’m changing clinic completely because where I did it on the nhs last time it’s so expensive there privately and I’ve also moved back to Lancashire so I’ve got to wait a whole 21 days for my records to sent to me!

Are you planning on transferring the 1 embie or more? Because my last ivf was funded my nhs you only have the choice of 1 going back so I don’t know how this private works in that sense.

Not long to wait for you for transfer though soo exciting!! ✨ xx

Ya my doc told that frozen embies hav higher chanes for success...

And ya Over here it s a must that u transfer 2 embies at a time....cause again success rate is higher with two.....

Yeah I know what you mean I suppose on the day of thawing the frozen they know which are the best ones due to the re-expanding of the embryos.

Where is your clinic? I’m so impatient for my consultation so just know more about my treatment plan. I just want to get started haha. I go on holiday on the 15th for a week so that should keep my mind of it for a bit 😂. Xx

OMG! Hey! It’s good to see a familiar name on here! How are you? Have you done anymore IVF or anything since back then? I hope your well and thank you very much.

I’ve rung my old clinic today that I did my ivf with on the nhs last time for all my medical records and they said I’ll get them within 21 working days. I would’ve loved to do the whole process with that clinic again but paying privately with that clinic is a lot more than the one I will be doing it with this time. The success rates if anything are the same but it’s just with me moving location as well ot would be a different team anyway and at one of their sister clinics. Xx

Im ok thanks! Still here, still trying! We are hoping to embark on transfer number 9 soon....was set to give up and our clinic said they would give us a free go so here we are! Hoping we are lucky this time around! Hopfully it wont be long until you get our notes through so you can get organised for your new cycle asap.xx

Bloody hell you have been through some journey hunn! I feel for you both it’s so emotionally draining when you get the knock backs that it hasn’t worked or they’ve had to cancel due to not responding well etc..

I’m so hoping this is your miracle round and you finally get your miracle bless you! Do you know what month your planning on transferring? Xx

Thank you! It is hard...getting harder each time so wont be doing this for much longer. We have 6 embryos on ice but we have discovered aand tweaked a lot of things over the time....2 pregnancies but didnt stick. Hoping we get on better next time. Hoping to transfer beginning of August but still to be confirmed.xx

Awww hunn I bet! And that’s awful so sorry to hear that 😔.. but good news that you still have some frozen and you don’t have to do the egg retrieval all again.. not long to wait now until August though! Xx

I finally got hold of my old clinic to fill the form out for my medical records with them so it works out I should get them back just after I’m back from my Holliday so perfect timing for my consultation at the new clinic. Keep me updated on your journey hunn ❤️ .. where abouts abroad are you going for your treatment? At least all flights pretty much are going now 👍😀 xx

Hey! Good luck for your journey 😀.. I don’t have my initial c insult action until I’m back of holiday the end of July but I’m due my cycle around a week later so hopefully I can get the ball rolling straight away and start on the meds 👌 (wishful thinking) lol xx

I’m the same I’m like a crazy person I honestly think every month I could be pregnant when I know for a fact there’s very low chance and I’ve already done ivf to have a child 🙈😂 I must of spent thousands on pregnancy tests and ovulation sticks over the years before knowing that I had fertility issues 🙈 xx

Hahahahaha that’s me this month boobs have gone huge and are on fire so I’m constantly thinking what if but it’s the same every month and there is literally no chance 🙈🤣 awww bless you I’m with you on that one ‘il just buy another test just incase you never know’ 100 tests later.... We do love to torture ourselves don’t we. How lovely you already have a little one through IVF I hope you can get to work on a sibling ASAP 😬😬✨✨✨ xx

Hey. I am due to do my egg collection end August I’d expect. Just waiting for my day 1 next week. I had my first round of ICSI in March but sadly it ended in a MMC in May. So fingers crossed it works this time round. I am also going private this time as only had one go on the NHS. Happy to share stories as we go along 😃x

Hi tulips1978, omgnim so sorry to hear that for you. Is the shittest thing ever to be told that it hasn’t worked after everything you do and try the best but it’s so good your not giving up! Are you doing a fresh or FET this round? My cycle is due the end of the month about a week after my consultation so I’m hoping I can start straight away! Xx

Aww thank you. Yeah it’s pretty shitty especially as I am not getting any younger but will try and remain positive for the next round. It will be a fresh round as I didn’t have any to freeze after the last round unfortunately. How about yourself? Fingers crossed for all of us xx

Hi. We are planning to start next cycle (no.3 unfortunately) in August. So would love someone on this journey😊 our first one we had nothing to transfer and second round we had FET with our only emby but no luck, it didn't stick. I wish all of us luck with no matter what journey we are going through xx

Hi Kim. I wish you good luck with your journey. I am a newbie here and all of this is new for me too. I am nervous a bit but believe that everything will be alright. My HB has some problems with the sperm so ICSI is our best chance to have children. I think that we'll start our journey very soon too. Baby dust

Me and husband have decided to go abroad for our treatment and have a little holiday whilst we’re there I think it will help with relaxation xxx

We live in Ireland and were planning to go abroad and already had a clinic picked, video call with the doc, my treatment plan was ready and prescriptions sent and then Covid started 🙄 we were planning to wait out but got some unexpected funding so we're going with the new clinic in Ireland. I'm starting stiming second week in August. How about you? Do you know your protocol already? Xxx

Hi Zuzzzzy, how are you? Have you already started your stims? Where are you having your treatment? Many people are afraid to travel due to COVID. Despite the pandemia, we decided not to put our journey on the back burner.
