Hello all, I havnt been on here since my hospital stay with OHSS back in June.
So I had a successful EC with 6 embryos in the freezer. I couldn’t have a fresh transfer due to my OHSS. I’m booked in to see them at the clinic on the 1st August but I have know idea what the process is with a FET. What drugs, when I start taking drugs and when one gets put in. All the consultant said was I would start suprecur again.
I just want to know a rough plan so I can prepare for it.
Thank you all xxxx

So clinics can follow a few different protocols. However it sounds like your clinic will down regulate you as mine does. I'm just starting another FET. So down regulation, get your bleed. Lining check scan to see that it's nice and thin then start on estrogen tablets, scan to check lining is responding....this can take around 2 weeks give or take a few days. Once lining looks good clinic would start you in progesterone for embryo transfer. It's kind of like doing a fresh cycle just replacing the stimulation injections with estrogen tablets to build your lining and no egg collection which is brilliant! Hope that all makes sense.xx
Thank you so much. So basically I wait for my next period and then around natural ovulation time it all gets serious? It’s just nice to know what is going to happen. Xxxx
That sounds about right. We always used to start down regulation on day 21 but clinics seem to have different protocols so they will keep you right once you get to see them but at least you have an idea what to expect!xx
