Hi everyone, this is my first post. And my first round of NHS funded IVF. I'm 37, low AMH/low progesterone but other than that unexplained infertility. We have been trying for 4 loooooonnngggg years. Had EC on Friday only got 3 eggs π But all 3 fertilised with ICSI. Having the day 5 transfer this afternoon. Does anyone have any hints/tips/advice for me? Thank you β€οΈ Xxxx
FET day advice please: Hi everyone... - Fertility Network UK
FET day advice please
Congratulations on your two blastos! You sound just like me (but we only had 2 eggs!) and I'm now 17 weeks,
2WW- try not overthink it (easier said than done!) Eat healthily and drink lots of water (avocado, almonds, think there's something about pineapple that's often quoted). I was lucky as it was the summer holidays so I was off work and just chilled with the cat, went out for lunch & coffee (well decaf tea!) with friends and kept busy to keep my mind off it. (& I tried really hard not to google everything which is nearly impossible)! Oh and avoid hot baths I was told!!!
Make sure you have a laugh after the embryo transfer- there was a study that this worked! I went out for lunch with my mum and kept it all lighthearted and jokey. Watch something funny on the. I also had been having acupuncture so had a session on implantation day (when I was full of cold and cough!)
Sure you'll get lots of better advice than mine from people on here!
Good luck. Sending lots of baby dust. X
Thanks Pips! I had heard about the laughter thing so shall be doing that too! I've just started getting cramps so a bit scared my period is on it's way. I'm taking the crinone pessaries each night since egg collection so hoping it's a side effect of that instead π¬ Congratulations on your BFP!!! xxx
Ha ha I'll look forward to the wind then π€£ Thank you, we are en route now! xxx
Hi LauraClaude. Just hoping all goes/went well today. Have a good rest afterwards. Thinking of you. Diane
Thank you Diane, it went smoothly and we are now on our way home xx
Good luck with the 2ww.
Cutting a pineapple into 5 sections and eating a slice a day (including the core) can help aid implantation. Also a small amount, around half a dozen Brazil or walnuts daily.
Relax and keep yourself as busy as you can, watching films/box sets, meeting up with friend, wrapping xmas pressies etc π
Good luck πXxx
Hi Amanda, thank you! Yes I have lots of presents to wrap good idea. Just sending the husband out for a fresh pineapple π I'm not back at work until Tuesday so not planning on doing a great deal and certainly nothing strenuous xxx
