Advice needed!

Clinic rang today to sort out next month's treatment and have told me that the ovitrelle trigger shot I have used the previous times is no longer deemed to be effective. The nurse said they have done lots of research and it has had no impact on improving chances of iui. She then said it was up to me if I use it next time or not. I now have no idea if to use it next time. Any advice would be greatly received x

What’s the purpose of using it with IUI?

Hi Victoria35. Hopefully if you are scanned you shouldn't need a trigger shot for IUI as they can see when the optimum time to inseminate will be. You can only trust what your specialist recommends. Good luck! Diane

Thanks Diane but they don't scan me. I just do a home ovulation test and ring when I get a positive then I go in for treatment the following day x

Hi. The trigger shot takes 36 hours to be effective, so check if it is really necessary. I’m sure they will guide you correctly. Diane
