Aspirin advice

Hello ladies, hope you are all having a nice snowy Sunday. I had my first midwife appointment on 7th March and she has put me on extra folic acid and aspirin. I've been taking the folic acid for about a week, but the pharmacy only had the aspirin prescription ready yesterday. Midwife said to take aspirin from 12 weeks which should have been Tues next but I had a reassurence scan last Tues and they told me I'm 5 days ahead, so actual 12 weeks would have been Thurs last. Should I have started to take aspirin already or wait until Tues? I have my official dating scan on Wed so not sure if I should wait until then? Confused!!

It doesn't matter when you start taking it, but do take it. I was told the same and was reticent to take it as I was coming off cyclogest and felt I was just replacing one drug with another, what happened to natural pregnancies?! But I've felt better since. I was also told I'm 5 days ahead of where I thought I was and by the time I was told to start taking it is was nearly 13 weeks. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy xx

Thanks Jacqui I decided that I will start taking today. I think tomorrow I would be 12 weeks according to my ivf treatment, but I guess I might be further ahead. Hopefully if everything is OK at our scan they can tell me the exact dates xx
