I was just wondering if anyone else was put on baby aspirin by their doctor since they got their positive. How long are you supposed to take it ?
My doctor told me the 8th of March to take it for a month it said on the prescription. However when I saw him for the scan he didn’t mention if I stop it or not. And today it has been a month. Should I continue until I see him this Tuesday ?
Thanks !

I was put on it before transfer, then after my positive they doubled the dose. They say it’s for placenta health so on it until after due date if everything works out x congratulations and good luck x
I was was on aspirin prior to transfer to help with blood flow to the uterus. After my BFP the consultant in the local hospital upped my dose as I was over 40.xx
I asked about it before my FET as I'd read it could help - consultant said he wouldn't prescribe it as I didn't have a clinical condition that warranted it and if I did he'd prescribe something better. But then he said if it made me feel better he saw no harm in me taking one a day. He then wasn't concerned whether I carried on after BFP or not, so I just continued. When I got to my first consultant appointment around 3mnths, I asked if I should carry on or stop and again was met with a bit of a shrug as apparently I hadn't got any of the risk factors they'd recommend it for, so I gradually just stopped over a period of a few weeks. It felt a bit worrying stopping anything tbh but it's all been fine. I don't think a few days would make a difference at all if that's when you're seeing your doctor, so just see what they say.
Hello, I was taking it before my transfer and continued until I was 36 weeks pregnant. I think it depends on the reasons why you’re taking it as to when you should stop. I’d ask your doctor to be sure xx
I took it from 12 weeks to 36 weeks on advise of obstetrician because I had two risk factors. In my second pregnancy, I only had one risk factor (first time was it being my first pregnancy). When I spoke to the obstetrician after my 12 week scan the second time, he said it wouldn’t do any harm at all to take baby aspirin. I am taking it until 36 weeks again because I turned 40 a couple of months before baby will be born.
I would talk to the consultant but it won’t do any harm at all to keep taking it.
Hi I actually put myself on it after a failed transfer, my friend recommended it so I started taking it a few days before my second transfer and it worked when I seen my midwife they told me to remain on it until I see my consultant I’m currently 25 weeks and my consultant have told me to stay on it right up until I have her xxx
I was put in it when made the switch from ivf doc to regular obgyn so about 3 month mark till the end of pregnancy. It was a good thing as I got preclampsia and had to deliver early due to the high BP with preclampsia, so it kept it down long enough to make it to 37 weeks and keep us literally alive.
I'm currently on asprine it's to reduce the risk of getting preclamsia also in my case one of my hormone levels are low so it helps the blood flow I have to take until I'm 36 weeks I'm 22 weeks now
I was put on baby aspirin (75mg) by my clinic from the day of FET until 12 weeks and then on 150mg aspirin by my midwife until my due date.. as a pre-eclampsia/hypertension preventative as I am 40+
Hello, you probably got your answer by now. I was put on baby aspirin from 4 months on for the whole pregnancy. Not sure what the point of it was, it seemed so unnecessary but I took it. Nothing happened, my baby is fine but I wish I did not take it. I think it just routine for moms like me, I was 45 diring pregnancy. You'll be ok, millions of pregnant women are being prescribed this, some of it is unnecessary in my opinion. It all depends on the risks of the individual. Stay calm, you and your baby will be ok. 💙💛❤
