I went for my first scan today, I'm on cycle day 12 and my lining was 10mm and I have a dominant follicle at 17mm. I am now waiting for the surge, I had asked my clinic for blood clotting tests, my consultant doesn't feel I need this. So I asked whether I can take baby aspirin as a pre-caution, she has said this is fine and to start today. The cons being indigestion or stomach ulcers, so to stop as soon as I experience any pain or indigestion. I'm pleased the clinic has given me the green light, but I just wanted to see what people's experiences were without testing. Are there any drawbacks? I have bought them and will take one with dinner, but wanted people's experiences and advice before I do!
Thanks xxx

I was tested for blood clotting test but it was negative. Though I started taking baby aspirin with my FET with Doctor's approval. I had multiple miscarriages in the past. They couldn't find the reason for the MC. But we have requested the clinic to add the baby aspirin. Heard it helps with good blood flow to the uterus. After all failed FETs now I am 12weeks pregnant. I believe baby Aspirin helped this time.Hope this will progress.
I didn't experience any side effects. As long as you check with your doctor is fine.
Wow that is such an encouraging story to hear! I think I will take it, there doesn't appear to be any adverse affects on the process, thanks so much for sharing your story xxx
I'm about to start taking baby aspirin for the first time too! No history of blood clotting and no tests done, the consultant just added them to my meds as I've had two chemical pregnancies. Fingers crossed this aspirin makes a difference for both of us! xx
Good luck to you too, I have spent quite a lot of time reading up on baby aspirin and it seems to be more positive than negative, with also randomised control trials showing they have a positive impact. Fingers crossed for us both xx
HiI took baby aspirin through all my pregnancy and had no sides effects. It was prescribed to me following miscarriage and as I am over 40. I was told by my consultant and that the the dose is so tiny that the likelihood of experiencing side effects is really low. I wish you all the best with your treatment. Take care x
Hi mimisquizz77, thanks so much great to hear your positive experience taking it. I started last night. With my consultant giving it the green light and many positive experiences i feel like I'm doing everything. Every round is a new experience, congratulations on your beautiful baby xxx
