I had an early miscarriage 3 weeks ago, the bleeding from this stopped around 17th Feb but I have started spotting from yesterday.
Has anyone experienced this? Is this the miscarriage causing the bleeding or is it my period starting or just spotting? I wondered if it was a period trying to start but really it’s only been a week since the bleeding stopped, so I would think it was too early..
My fertility clinic said to wait a couple of weeks and to take provera as I I don’t get periods really on my own, so I can take a round of clomid, but I’m guessing it’s better to wait for this bit of spotting to stop.. this is all so confusing!

I had a miscarriage in December the bleeding lasted about 2 weeks then stopped. About 2 weeks after that i started bleeding again. I called my clinic as id not been fully discharged who said it was most likely left over tissue from the pregnancy. I had a scan which confirmed it. I had 3 bleeds in total before i got discharged last week. My period came back on sunday so about 8 weeks since my miscarriage.
It might be worth asking your clinic if they will scan you to see whats going on in there.
Thanks for getting back to me and sorry for your loss as well.
I’ve not been offered a scan by either the clinic or my gp, as I was told It was probably too early to see anything. But I might ask if I can have one, just to check. I did take a pregnancy test on Sunday and it was negative so assumed that everything was gone. No one really gave me any info I was just told to go home and take it easy.
I didn’t bleed very much at all during and after the miscarriage but did pass some other bits and not just blood so maybe this is my body catching up as since posting it’s gotten period heavy. I’m guessing I can’t use tampons for this bleed either, which is frustrating!
I was 7 weeks pregnant at the time we got told at the scan that there was no heartbeat. I had medical management so maybe thats why was bleeding on and off.
