Hello allxxI had an early miscarriage back in September.
This is my second actual period since my miscarriage, first one was really heavy, but they said this was to be expected after a miscarriage, however I'm on my second period (started couple of days earlier than due) and I'm bleeding so heavily again........just want to know is this normal?? Anyone had the same?
Just feel drained 😔

Hi. So sorry to hear this. It can take up to three cycles to become what is normal to you. Why not have a word with your GP. Hopefully your hormones will soo settle. Diane
Heavy bleeding after a miscarriage can be normal for some people, especially in the first few cycles as your body adjusts, but it’s completely understandable that you're feeling drained and concerned. Try to rest as much as you can and take care of yourself. Sending you lots of strength. xx
Hi it can take a few months after a miscarriage for your periods to settle back to normal. For me it took about 4 months before my periods went back to normal. Try to rest up and be kind to yourself x
Thanks so much for your reply - that's good to know it's 'normal' - I just didn't have it with my last miscarriage....but tbh this one has gone alot better in a funny way that they last in that I'm back to regular periods etc! We're as my last one it completely messed me up! So can't complainThanks for the reassurance and kind words xxx
Hi there, yes for me the first period after the long m/c bleed was very light and painless but the second went on for ages and hurt like hell. Like others have said, hormones and the womb take a few cycles to get back to your normal, and its so brutal combined with the remaining grief. Hang on in there, and take time to nurture yourself x
Bless you - thanks for your reply that's very reassuring 🤗🤗it is brutal... especially as you feel like the last few months just been feeling rubbish most of the time! Hopefully we'll start getting back to normal soon🙏🤗😔Hope you're doing well xx
I would ask your gp if they could check your iron levels. Bleeding heavily for months on end can deplete your stores and make you feel rotten. They can easily rectify and give a prescription for iron tablets. Take care 💕
yes I had similar, although my first after mmc was quite light and then second was awful. I bled through pads in minutes and passed bigger clots than I have ever experienced before. It was awful to be at work at the time but it only lasted 2-3 days and then periods returned to normal after that.
I would call your clinic or GP though if you are worried, particularly if you feel drained by it. I hope you start to feel better soon xx
