Had my baseline scan and a possible polyp was found.
Now at my day seven scan the area is bigger due to the meds and is definitely a polyp.
The nurse told me that i can still have my eggs collected but there is a possibility that I will have to have the embryos frozen and have a FET once the polyp is removed.
I wasn’t told much more, I’m guessing as she didn’t want me to worry as it is only a possibility.
Just wondering has anyone else here been through this, as being a born worrier I’m now stewing in it as I hate not knowing what may or may not happen next.

Oh no, that’s not what you want to hear right now, one more thing to worry about as if you haven’t got enough to deal with right now. I’m sorry but I don’t have any experience with this. I’ve had polyps years before I started my ivf journey. Maybe call your clinic back and ask more questions. Even if they do need freezing that’s still good. Good luck xx
Hi, we started our first cycle icsi last year, in my stimming scans they found what they thought was a polyp, we ended up having eggs collected and all frozen straight after fertilization.
I then had hysteroscopy and no polyp was found but a thickening of the lining they took biopsy and all was clear, we are now on our frozen cycle.
They have said that it may or may not be one and can only see properly using a camera. Hopefully all will be well and if it’ turns into a frozen cycle it’s not the end of the world
I know how you're feeling and going scan by scan monitoring it is a killer waiting to find out but it all moved quite quick, I was able to get a cancellation and had the hysteroscopy in November 2 weeks after ec then we started this cycle beginning of January.
I have fibroid in my uterus and my specialist isn’t worried as it’s 9mm and protruding in the cavity. Does your specialist think it’s a problem? Is it a big polyp? Is it protruding into the cavity?
Not been through this but there is increasing evidence that having a frozen cycle is more likely to be successful anyway, there’s lots of research going on about this so please don’t worry about this element of what’s happening.
Lots of ladies on here have had polyps removed and I’m sure they will be able to give you more info x
Hi, yes - I’ve had this twice now. It’s fine, don’t worry. Have a look on my page or message me if you want more information. Good luck with egg collection! Xx
So sorry that your cycle will be put on hold, how disappointing for you. But it is good it has been found now as it might affect implantation. I have had s hysteroscopy a few years ago under GA as the scan showed a fibroid/ polyp but then nothing found! My gynae issues turned out to be caused by endometriosis.
All the best with your hysteroscopy hope you get a date soon. If you have any questions on it feel free to ask me 😘 xoxo
