Good morning, so I had baseline scan yesterday and my consultant has found a tiny polyp in the womb... now she said it is so tiny and positioned out of the way that it shouldn't be a issue but wanted a second opinion... so me being me brain in overdrive I started to Google ( yes I know Google is dangerous) so anyway fast forward to 6.30pm last night after clinic had closed my consultant gives me a ring while she was sat eating her dinner enjoying her evening (now that's patient dedication) so she had a second and third opinion amd I've been given the all clear for transfer on Monday 20th March.... so now I'm super excited as it will be our 3rd transfer and we're going for a double this time... but the what ifs have started again, what if they are wrong? What if it does interfer with the implantation? What if it doesn't work because of this tiny 0.35mm polyp.... has anyone been in this situation before? Xx

Hi,
My situation was a bit different, I hadn’t responded well to stimulation and my polyp was a lot bigger and not in a good place so I cancelled my egg collection under the recommendation of my consultant .
I totally understand the what ifs but I don’t think your clinic would let you go ahead if they was any cause for concern. Sometimes we have to just trust the clinic . Hopefully someone else on here will have more of an insight into this or had a similar experience and help put your mind at rest.
Wishing you lots of luck 🤞🤞
Trust your Doctor - she has checked it out with her fellow doctor and as she told you it is really tiny Best not to google too much at the moment -will only make you feel more anxious
Take care and good luck with transfer
Janet
Hey it sounds like they are transferring these embryos no where close to the polyp. I’m no expert either but let’s hope three doctors can’t be wrong 🤞 xx
hello I have a fibroid not sure the difference from a polyp but they told me where it was wasn’t a problem. We did the transfer and I’m now almost 28 weeks xxx
It sounds as though you’ll be ok. I thought I had a Polyp and someone in this forum reassured me in that ladies who fall pregnant naturally may also have undetected polyps and go on to have natural births without even knowing. We’re just in that awful and unfortunate situation.
My Polyp situation…I was due to fly out for treatment Nov last yr and days before the flight, my treatment was cancelled due to a sighting of a Polyp. I’ve not had a hysteroscopy, but the Gyne confirmed no polyp. I again had a scan in Feb and yet again, they were insisting it’s a Polyp, Long story short, I paid for a private scan for a second opinion and she confirmed no Polyp and then again another didn’t see the Polyp. I’ve had the treatment and am 3-4 weeks pregnant and just praying everyday that there is no Polyp…it’s such a worrying time xx
I hope you get on ok with your treatment and wish you all the best xx
Hi there! All I can say is they know what they’re doing, they wouldn’t let you do a FET if it was going to interfere. They wouldn’t let me. Mine was large and apparently had it been in a different place it may have been okay but mine was bang smack where an embryo would implant. They must have decided yours is small and out of the way. Once an embryo is implanted it’s unlikely the polyp will interfere if it’s out of the way and the embryo would start taking up more room so there wouldn’t be room for it to grow. I hope that helps.
Thankyou all ladies for putting my mind at ease and sharing your stories with me...I have kinda forgotten about the polyp and excitement for Monday has taken over 😊 but I thankyou you all from the bottom of my heart xx
