Transfer Tomorrow

Hi all. So in Tuesday I had my EC man I was so out of it and in so much more pain than the first round, funny thing is they got the exact same amount of eggs - 9. I wonder if it's because it was completely different treatment drugs etc. Anywho finally feeling much better today.

So yesterday when they called they said that they had 7 mature ones and 6 fertilised out of the 7 so that's good 1 more than last time. The whole point of this time was to improve egg quality not quantity as we had lots of fragmentation on day 3 last time. Even though they transferred a day4 8 cell last time it was fragmented and what they called 'slow' (we didn't have any frosties last time). They were really happy with how these ones fertalised so fingers crossed they proceed at the right pass this time and fragmentation is limited.

Due to all the holidays etc. we have to do a day 3 transfer tomorrow (Friday) as the clinic surgery isn't open on Saturday or Sunday and they wouldn't risk a 6 day transfer on the Monday. I guess I would love to hear any success stories from a 3 day transfer after ICSI. This is our second round and last funded round so fingers crossed this works and if not we get some frosties this time. We won't know any updates until we get to the clinic tomorrow at noon, Im down to do the Valium again like last time as I was too scared I'd over think too much and freak myself out about the procedure if I didnt have that as an option to choose on the day. So here's hoping for good news and a nice calm transfer.

While I'm posting, does anyone have any tww food tips/tricks. I've recently become vegetarian but I have a lot of food intolerances (dairy, lactose, egg, gluten, wheat coffee etc.) so practically vegan is there anyone else that follows similar dietary needs and is there anything extra I should be focusing on putting into my diet. I'm just waiting for my groceries to be delivered so i can do some meal prep....assuming procrastination doesn't get the better of me. haha.

Wow, so long post. Sorry for waffling on. I hope you are all doing okay so far, I've seen a couple of sad posts pop up already - life really isn't fair. I really just wish all of us to receive the bundles of joy we deserve this year. Take care everyone, and thank you in advance for any success stories, tips etc. xxxx

I’ve never had a day 3 transfer but just wanted to wish you lots of luck. I would suggest the normal things, eating pineapple for 5 days including the core, Brazil nuts and keeping your feet warm xx

Thank you. Will def try the above 😊 xx

My acupuncturist says plenty of protein after transfer so I would suggest plenty of pulses and quinoa.

A day 3 transfer should be just as likely to be successful as a day 5, Diane posted recently that day 3 transfers used to be the norm and they had good pregnancy rates.

Will they keep monitoring your other embryos in case you can get Frosties even after ET?

Hi. Yea they said theyll call sunday with an update and then again monday to confirm if there were any to pop in the freezer. Fingers crossed as there wasnt any last time.

Will def make an extra effort with the protein too. Ive always worried there's not enough in my diet so will add a protein powder too. Thank you

I’m just wondering whether they can grow the embryos to day five, freeze and then you put them in the following month? Obviously it means you have to wait longer so I can understand not ideal.

Sorry only just saw this so didnt get a chance to suggest it. All good though. Had a good grade 7 cell popped back in its lil home mid afternoon today. Now hope it continues to do what it needs to do and stick 🤞
