I had EC on Wednesday 8eggs, 6mature, 4 fertilised. We were booked in for a 5 day transfer on Monday but have received a call from the clinic today to say they need me in for a day 3 transfer.
The 4 embryos are developing slowly, one has slight fragmentation, one has slightly uneven cells and the other two are going back.
I’m feeling really disappointed and need to find some positivity from somewhere. My EC wasn’t until 1pm so could this effect development - they’ve not had long.
Anyone have any success stories?
Thank you all so much xx

Hi! Sorry to hear but it’s not over just yet. I had 8 eggs fertilised, but only two survived on day 2. By day three, one embryo seemed to have stop growing. Both were 4 cell. So I was called in for a day three transfer where I had both put back in. Just before transfer like literally just before, one turned into 6 cell. I am now 6+4 weeks and not sure if it’s twins or not yet either. Another member on here told me that sometimes embryos may grow slower if you’re older (I am 37). So they may just need more time.
I’m hoping it all works out for you and just to say it’s not over yet!!
Transfer was cancelled and I’m now in a&e. Feel totally fine but struggling to take a deep breath. Consultant wouldn’t do transfer and sent me straight here. I’m absolutely devastated x
After 7 hours in hospital I was told I have OHSS. It makes no sense as I didn’t have that many follicles and only 8 eggs but apparently it can happen to anyone. They wanted to keep me in over night but after the day I’d had I just wanted to get home and be with my partner. I have to go back on Monday for monitoring and in the meantime, I’m on blood thinners, some gorgeous tight green socks and measuring all fluid intake and output. To say yesterday didn’t go as planned is an understatement!
