Hope you’re all okay and you’re having good weeks.
From our five eggs collected on Monday, we were relieved to hear we had two fertilise . We get our day 3 call tomorrow, if they are doing okay then we will decide if we do a day 3 or 5 transfer.
The consultant agreed before our transfer we could do a day three transfer (we were only expecting two eggs) but when we spoke to the embryology team they said they would prefer us to go to day 5 so they can pick the best one. However they agreed they would call us early tomorrow so we could make a decision together.
So nervous about tomorrow’s call. 😩😥In our previous NHS cycles last year the clinic wanted us to do two egg batching cycles (as I didn’t get many eggs) so we froze four embies at day 3 and then defrosted them. Only two developed to day 5 and only one was a Morula which we transferred. This cycle was a BFN.
My hubby has improved his DNA fragmentation since last year and now has 14% high fragmentation compared to 32% last year. He now has 36% low fragmentation or good sperm. We used IMSI this cycle to help with that.
Just so nervous, any tips about how to get through the next few days? We have been distracting ourselves with going out for nice days out to nature spots etc but I have been struggling not to worry.
Thanks for any advice. xxx

Hey lovely, ah I think these days are some of the hardest and ones I don’t think many people even know they exist. I think most people think Oooh you have IVF and you get pregnant! To be fair I was one of those before we started this journey! No one can understand the hopes And nerves you have waiting for that call from the embryologist hey. I think each time o have ended up in tears and the news has always been good!!! It’s just the absolute - your whole world is in their hands, quite literally!!
Well I would look at it like this so far it seems like a really positive cycle, you are way more ahead of where you thought you would be - you got the 5 eggs , 2 have fertilized which is amazing, your hubby’s sperm is better so there Is every chance you will get 2 lovely blastocysts but you know all it takes is one. Nothing can make the waiting any easier but it looks like you’ve done well to distract yourself - why don’t you choose a funny movie on this dismal evening , then maybe treat yourself to a hot bath ( lol once you have the transfer you’ll miss those!) then try and get a good nights rest - sending you so many positive vibes hun and pray you hear that good news tomorrow , keeping everything crossed for you 💕💕 xxx
Hi lovely, thanks so much for your very thoughtful and kind message. 💛Particularly when you have had a hard day with your review. Sending you big virtual hugs.🤗So sorry to hear the follow up appointment was so tough.
Doing exactly as you suggest and watching Fantastic Beasts (I am a Harry Potter fan!) and chilling.
keep doing what your doing , it’s so difficult to keep your mind busy but going out and doing things will help the time go quicker . Are you working through your 2ww ? X
Aww thanks Leah, I’m trying but it’s so hard isn’t it?! 😩😊No I am very lucky to have leave from work so my hubby and I are planning to go away for a couple of nights in the UK next week which will be nice. Haven’t booked anything yet though. Xx
