Just had my embryo transfer done today, egg collection was on Tuesday, collected 9 eggs, 5 fertilized and one put back in, she said it was a grade 4A embryo, feeling relaxed and resting up today, got signed off work for 5 days and ready to go back on Tuesday, (not for bed rest, just to be more relaxed as I work at a school) just curious what you all felt like after the transfer? Any pains or twinges or anything like that? Don’t post much but thought as I’ve been checking this group on a daily basis and it’s helped me answer so many of my questions, wanted to post something too and share my stuff xx

Embryo transfer
Hey ihavnt got any experience with IVF yet trying naturally with clomid this month but would like to wish you good luck. Take care x
Ah fab news sounds like you got a good solid embryo. Hope this christmas is a lucky one for you! Xx
Some people don’t feel anything. I definitely knew mine had worked last time (chemical pregnancy) and this time (8 weeks twins) but that’s only because I also have a son through IVF (3rd time lucky NHS funded) and I remembered how that felt as aposed my other failed attempts.
For me it’s cramping, much the same as if your were getting a period but I get it much earlier at around Day 10.
I also test early and a lot. I buy cheap early detection tests (pack of 5) from Amazon and use them from Day 11 which if it works you should see a line start to appear and get darker each day. I then move on to the clear blue digital to test on test day and then a week later to make sure the no of weeks pregnant is going up. It’s a way of taking control a bit rather than just waiting around but it can drive you mad when the line just doesn’t come.
It’s not for everyone and you have to know that early testing can give you false negatives.
The 2ww is a tough time and rest really is the best thing there are also some hypnosis tracks you can download specifically for IVF.
Good luck! Your embryo is fab.
Great news good luck to you! I’m currently waiting for my first ever FET after hyper stimulation from first ivf last month. Sending lots of baby dust your way ☺️ xx
I had my transfer last week Tuesday, it’s been the longest wait and I’m testing tomorrow. Absolutely dreading it! In terms of how I felt after transfer I have had instances where I’ve had sharp pains, period like pains, twinges but nothing continuously and only happened a few times. I’ve had white discharge but other than that I’ve had nothing! I prey that’s a good sign and that tomorrow is a positive result!!! Rest up and hope you’re ok! Try not to think about it too much, I’ve just started to worry now because I know what I’ll be doing in the morning! X
Thank you! Wish you luck and hope it’s a positive result 🍀praying for you too! With the twinges and sharp pains was it right from the day after the transfer? I’ve been having pinching on my left side, only occasionally on and off, I have endometriosis too so sometimes it can be that, trying not to pay any attention to it and distract myself 😊 xx
