Supplements?!

Quick question who took supplements during ivf? Seen a few posts Re Dhea and coq10 just wondering if you did take them did they have a big impact on egg quality and quantity? xxx

I took CoQ10 this cycle and I think it made a difference to egg quality. My 1st cycle I had 11 eggs taken, 6 eggs fertilised which made it to blastocyst but not all great quality. This cycle although I had less eggs taken, I got 4 top quality blastocyst out of 6 eggs x

Yes I took supplements for over 3 months before my 2nd cycle. I followed the book 'it starts with an egg' I didn't take dhea because I have endo and read it can affect it. But you could do more research if you have endo. I took Maca instead.

So to compare cycles - the first cycle I managed to just get to a poor blastocyst anda morula by day 5 and it ended in a bfn. Second cycle I got a top quality blastocyst transferred and have 2 in the freezer. Also got aour BFP! Now waiting for 7week scan! So I definitely think there is something in it! I am 44 used my own eggs. I took DHEA for 3 months before and during cycle, also took ubiquinol. Ate 100% organic and had acupuncture for 8 weeks before and during. Got pregnant with first cycle so I believe it all helped. Good luck xxx

Yes to DHEA. Doubled my best count! Side effects suck though. No egg quality issues here, just response issues.
