Estrofem/oestrogen supplements for a FET transfer

Hello fertility friends. I’m due to do a FET after Christmas. My clinic is recommending I take Estrofem to help with endometrial thickness.

Have any of you taken this before? Did you have any side effects?

I’m wary of taking unnecessary medication but also don’t want to decrease my chances of a FET success.

It's just a form of oestrogen to build ur lining. Generally no side effects but everyone is different xx

Hi, I’ve not had oestrogen for a FET but had it after surgery to help recovery and rebuilding my lining.

I had no side effects besides sometimes some slight dizziness on the odd occasion as if getting up to quickly.

It helps to build your lining nice and cosy for transfer so if your doctor is recommending it, it’s probably a good idea. I thought that with FET that’s what they did anyway!

It’s only a hormone and I hardly noticed it and it’s all just temporary until the job is done! Good luck with the rest of your journey 🍀

Yes. I've never used it until the FET, and have never had a lining issue either.

I didn't really notice it until after the Transfer when combined with the progesterone that I started to feel quite full and bloated.

They had me on blood thinners too.

Clexane injections! They really hurt! And they make you bruise!

Oh ok. Sounds like that’s stronger. Was your FET successful?
