I had my day 10 scan on Thursday and it was a bit difficult! They always struggle with me to see anything & the nurse said it's because my left ovary I's a lot higher than the right (news to me!) Which she said will make EC difficult 😢. How ever they did see some follicles but none were up to the size wanted, 2x 16 2x 14 and some smaller, so I've had 2x more days of buresiln & gonadotropin in hope that they speed up! I've got a scan today at 2.30. She said that EC will be on Wednesday regardless. I'm really nervous that they'll say it's gone wrong!
Wierd how we can't help but expect the worse! People say be positive, but easier said than done ey!

Hi Becky - I know it's really easy to say but try not too worry too much (I know, you would punch me in the face if you could ;)) but before my EC I only had 2 follicles at the correct size so they asked me to wait an extra two days and I ended up with 8! Have faith in the experts (that's what my DH had to keep reminding me) and know that they only want the best for you. Plus 4 follicles could be perfectly fine - I got one egg from each - and it only takes one to get you your BFP!
Afternoon! Thank you for thinking of me. I'm home resting now. It was extremely painful but they managed to get 13 eggs, so that bit was worthwhile! So now it's the waiting game to see if any fertilise. How are you doing? Xx
Hi Becky179. Just hoping that your scan and egg collection went OK today. Hopefully the extra drugs would have matured your follicles further. Good luck! Diane
Hopefully the drugs will do their job. The timescales they give at the beginning as educated guesses as they don't know how we'll respond. One if my ovaries could sometimes be tricky to find, lots of "Move your leg up/over this eay" during scans. LOL
Going through treatment is really tough emotionally as there's nothing you can do make those follicles grow except wait.
Hi Becky179. The girl done well! Good number of eggs collected. Fingers crossed for fertilisation. Have a good rest, take some paracetamol if needed and drink plenty of water. Thinking of you. Diane
