We have been on the waiting list for ICSI and the appointment date came in yesterday. I'm excited and anxious all at the same time.
I have been told at this appointment it will be things like paperwork and bloods taken. Not sure how long it will be for treatment to actually start or what exactly happens.
Just wondered if anyone can give me an idea of what to expect at the appointment?
Yeah that would be great. I have been trying/waiting for a while now that I have just been patiently waiting but now it's all about to start it really is very nerve wracking and exciting all at the same time.
Wow best of luck, me and wife are attending our first spoil me t next week, we're not sure yet what treatment may be given but we wer told it might be ICSI aswell. Would love to know how you got on, please keep us posted. Best of luck to you both
Hi there. Myself and my hubby have done our IVF at the GRI. I'm not gonna lie, it's been a slow process for us but our situation might be different than yours. However we now have a BFP and looking forward to the future. If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to ask. Ones you start going for appointments and start on the medication it goes quite quickly.
We had paperwork appointment, where they told us what protocol we would be on etc. It went really quick after that - teach appointment, bloods & scan etc then we could request treatment. Obviously every clinic is different but hopefully won't be long until you get started x

Yeah it seems more real now that we have the appointment. Next steps eh.
We're at Dundee, we completed our paperwork back in December, it was pretty straight forward form filling, had an internal scan done along with some bloods. We had a couple of extra appointments in between for male factor infertility which you may not need. Ive just had my screening appointment for Hep and HIV at the end of April so just waiting on our protocol and drugs to be sent to us. Feels like its taking ages but can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Our clinic was pretty good and from the outset told us to expect around May. Maybe just give them a call or ask when you're in at you're in, clinics all seems to work differently!
