I have been trying to post for a few days but for some reason it would not let me post (annoying). We have our first appointment on Tuesday did not expect to get an appointment so quickly. Although excited I am also abit nervous about this appointment. What is likely to happen at first appointment...?????
Thanks xx

Don't worry! All clinics are different but I can tell you what happened at mine. They might do a blood test for you both and a semen sample might be needed from your partner. Other than that it will be going through forms and telling you how it all works. Our first appointment was purely for the blood tests and they weighed me at my second one and took my height. The second appointment was when we were told lots and lots of info and based on our results they gave us a plan with what meds I'd be taking and when. Don't worry, your first appointment is very straight forward and gives you a chance to get a feel for your clinic. If you want to know why not ring them up tomorrow and ask? X
I would say it all depends on clinic we was told we would have 4-6 months wait!! We only fulled our funding forms 22nd December and now we have our first appointment Tuesday as we are using a satellite clinic not as much travelling for us.. x
Hi hope , we also have our first app at 9am Tuesday . What times yours ,? Did you get all your consent forms ? We have to fill them out today and take them with us . I am going to take a copy of them at wrk tmr . I am also going to write down today any questions I have . I wanted to ask what vitamins I should take. I've been taking pregacare vitamins.
In my app letter, it says we will be there a minimum of 2 hrs. I was meant to have had a blood test ( FSH) 2 weeks before this app day 1-3 of period , but am 17 days late, I rang the clinic and they said come anyway .
I guess we go through all outr forms , then discuss if I need anymore bloods , I've heard there's the long and short protocol so am sure this will be discussed.
Then I would imagine they talk about the drugs and may even get shown how to inject .
For me though , I'm worried incase the Dr won't give me a date to start until I've had this up to date FSH blood test so that will be the thing that delays us . Although I've read on here that if your on short protocol you start meds on day 1 of bleed ( if this is the case for me , then I will have to prob wait till 2 periods time . If I'm on he long pritocol apparently I've reSd you start inj day 23 so I'm a way I hope they put me on long protocol as when I eventually do vibe on I can do my day 1-3 blood , get the I'm from Dr then start inj day 23.
This Past week I been constantly thinking of different senarios and keep thinking that treatment will be delayed due to the fact that the Dr may want to do more tests / investigations ect . I know there will be scans too possibly tmr .
Also i had to get my bmi to 30 or below and needed to be 12 stone 10 pounds . Well I lost a stone and half but the last few pounds have been really hard and when I weighed myself last Monday the scales said 13stone 2 pounds I couldn't believe it , so yesterday weighed myself and I'm 12 stone 9 pounds so 6 pound lost this week so happy cos am now below the target weight they gave me . Got a few more days so another pound or two would be fab.
So sorry for writing a massive S/A . Good luck for Tuesday I'll def let you know how it went for us . Hope this has helped in some way . What times your app Tuesday . Xxx
Our appointment is 9:30 on Tuesday morning I'm really looking forward to it it's like this journey is now officially happening!!! 😁 hope you're appointment goes well for you xx
I would be to. I get weighed Wednesday but I'm 3lbs off ... i think they will be really strict so probably have to go back next week ! Then we can get referred .... just can't wait to get started now !
I have a crosstrainer at home which I've been using in the evenings but I'm never still all day at work constantly on the go which helps keep me active during the day!! X
