I have. It's a quick procedure but you may feel a bit sore when you first come round from the general but it soon wears off. You can ask for pain relief if needed. I've had it done twice and went back to work the following day. Good luck and try not to worry x x

Hi sophia88. As you are having the procedure done under a general anaesthetic, you should be fine. Maybe a little sore afterwards, but at least you will be nearer to a more accurate diagnosis. Good luck and hope it all goes well. Diane

I have had both done and honestly Hun it's really nothing to worry about. I wish the other fertility tests for us ladies were that easy! I was told not to eat anything 6 hours or drink any water 2 hours prior to operation admission. But your hospital might br different they will let know how long you have to be nil by mouth. I was so frightened of going 'under' but I needn't have been. The theatre staff were lovely and put me at ease. I remember having the meds and then woke up in recovery room, it was strange like no time passed! But an amazing sleep best sleep ever!💯😉 They then took me to my room and monitored me for 2 hours. Took my blood pressure every now and then. I was given water, as I was fine on water the nurse made me a cup of tea (which was so appreciated!) and then I had a choice of biscuits. Once I was able to drink, eat and go to the bathroom, I was discharged. They will offer you pain killers too, you may get a bit crampy. I was fine but was advised to rest for a day or two. I was back to my running within 2 weeks. Quick recovery period 👍Regarding what to take normally it's a outpatient appointment. All I brought was my pjs, dressing gown and slippers and some mags to read. You'll need someone to drive you home too as you cannot drive after general. I hope this helps put your mind a bit at ease. Good luck with your op I'm sure you'll be fine. Another step closer Hun, things is ladies have to do, be worth it tho 💕 x x x
