Hi ladies wondered if you could help me I injected my buserelin as I'm on down regulation and and as I pulled the needle back out a bit dribbled out, does this matter that I've lost some? Worrying over everything! Also why is it that we are told to pinch the skin while we inject? X

Injecting buserelin
Sometimes you can get a bit dribbling out and sometimes you might get a drop of blood. I think it's because you are pulling the syringe out too quickly after injecting it. Just leave it a couple of seconds longer before removing it.
Not sure about the pinching, we wondered that, but I guess it keeps a bit more skin there instead of it being flat?
I was told that you have to pinch the skin so that the injection goes into the fat layer and not the muscle as the hormone will release slowly over a period of time that way ☺
Hi, I was reading up about injections just last night and it did say not to worry if a little dribbles out, it sounds quite normal so don't worry. If you are worried you could call the nurse. Good luck with your cycle X
Hi ladyb1rd. Try stretching the skin before injecting, that way, when you pull the needle out you leave a “zigzag” behind, so nothing can “escape”! Good luck with it all! Diane
Hi, I had that a couple of times. Worry not, I have gone on to have successful egg collection & am now 10wks pregnant. it's such a small amount won't make that much difference.
Goodluck with rest of your treatment x
