Progesterone in HRT FET

Hello everyone,

I just had a question about progesterone. So I did an IVF FET(HRT) on 16th Aug and was asked to test my progesterone during the TWW. On 22nd August my progesterone was 40.26 ng/mL

I later went on to get a BFP and bhcg (24,000 now) has been rising as it should. Now I'm at 6w1d and tested my Progesterone again since I had slight spotting last week.

Inspite of no changes in my dose, it has now fallen to 35.6 ng/ml.

I'm taking 4 x 200mg suppositories and 1 x 100 mg PIO injection.

My question is should I be worried that the level fell inspite of no changes in the dosage?

The only thing different is the levels were checked at two different labs.

Do let me know if someone has something to say on this... Freaking out a bit. My first scan is this week.

My understanding is that progesterone levels fluctuate and so that was the result in that point of time when you were tested, if you had the test done again at a different time the same day you would likely get a different result. You may wish to check with your clinic for reassurance. That is what I have been told previously. .

Thanks for your answer. Well I did message my doctor and asked if it's okay that the Progesterone fell, she didn't exactly answer that question and told me to continue my dose as before. Which made me think, if it was very serious she would've said something (hopefully).

Progesterone levels fluctuate throughout the day so it’s likely just that 🤗 good luck for your scan xx
