Hi guys I'm six week today after 5dt. Pgt embryo hatching best lining I ever had and good numbers on hcg last being 10985 at 20dpt. Last night at 1am woke up feeling sick thought ooh maybe here's a sympton as had none tilll now. Spent the next 8 hours pretty much sat on the loo with a bucket in front of me. I've never been so ill. Anyway this morning I've manged to rehydrate went for my first wee since 1am it was tinged pink and when I wiped fresh blood on the tissue. I've rung EPAU but obvs noone in today as Sunday. Left vm. Meanwhile I'm staying in bed. But feel like all vomiting and diarrhoea cramping and abdominal strain from throwing up has potentially harmed this baby. I know people say ivf pregnancy's do bleed more than natural. But I think with the cramping I'm having across my womb it's the end.
Looking for anyone who's had a similar experience please. I've taken another progesterone injection as I think the Oral 400mg I took last night probably left my body one way or another very quickly x
Devastated now. I'd just started to hope maybe this was it for us

Hi Conceivingblee, I have no personal experience of this but didn't want to just scroll past. Over the time I've been on these forums I have definitely seen people with awful sickness and diarrhoea having BFPs, and also people with bleeding having good results. I have read on here that sometimes when you are a bit ill your body makes you really ill to preserve the baby, so perhaps that is what has happened to you. Bleeding at 6 weeks is really common and sometimes it can be coming from elsewhere. Perhaps with being so ill you have irritated something. It doesn't necessarily all mean embryo has gone. So try not to panic too badly. If something is going wrong, just know you can't do any more than you are doing. Stay hydrated, stay as well and comfortable as you can, try to convince yourself it is OK and wait until you can get some proper assistance and checks. Keeping everything crossed when you do you will get good news and reassurance 🤞
Hi Willow park.Thankyou so much for taking the time to respond to me. I read stories about others bleeding and babe still being OK and hope that it's me but honestly this journey is like when will I have dome luck.
I spent all say resting yesterday and dehydrating. Just hoping EPAU can see me today.
I don't think they d&v itself should harm the baby as plenty of women have very violent morning nausea early on and it's horrible but normal. I also had a very bad stomach from the progesterone. I think it's more the risk of becoming severely dehydrated but that can happen with morning sickness too and they put you on a drip. The embryo should be very strongly attached and not easily dislodged plus it's not uterine cramps by the sounds of it. But if it's a bug or food poisoning maybe it's worth also contacting your GP while you wait for the EPU? Can you get hcg bloods done or a scan privately or through your GP?
Hi Mrs orangejuiceI've actually got bloods already booked this morning as I'm on the HCG crazy train it's the only think that keeps me sane that I know things are moving in right direction. My clinics like it might be a haematoma but I don't think I'd be having this cramping. Plus I'm on so much progesterone I shouldnt bleed I'm on daily prolotex and 400mg orally at night. So if I'm bleeding i feel deffo something wrong.
Everything eventually calmed down with the D&V about 11am. Spent the day resting and rehydrating yesterday I called 111 they were like go up to A& E but I'm on steriods so I thought bring immune suppressed already sick and sitting fir hours up there when she's already said all they would do is bloods really and maybe give me a drip to rehydrate seemed to big a risk. Deffo contacting GP this morning.
Glad the d&v has calmed down and hopefully the HCGs will give you reassurance. I didn't have a haematoma but lots of women on here seem to have them and they sound pretty scary. It's such an anxious time anyway and I really hope it's all OK.
hi lovely, many many pregnant women have horrific sickness and their babies are fine. I’m sure the bleeding could be coincidence- I had lots of bleeding from 5-8 weeks.
Def get checked at your clinic as soon as you can though. Keeping everything crossed but just know whatever has happened it won’t have been the sickness xxx
I had a bit of cramping, which is common in early pregnancy, but not really painful cramps.
Turned out I had a hematoma (a bleeding bruise around the uterus) which are more common in IVF pregnancies. But was very scary as was bleeding every day and sometimes very heavily! 🙈
All is well now, my son is nearly 5 months old. I really hope the outcome is positive for you also xx
Awww how wonderful. I hope I'm able to say this is us to 🙏🙏 my cramps are quite painful but I have Adenomyosis so any cramping I have is painful due to this. Thanks for your message of hope xx
UPDATEjust in case anyone experiences this and is searching the forum
We went to EPAU today 6 weeks 2 days saw a heart beat and everything looks good on the scan. They couldn't confirm what had caused the bleed but thought it may have been from implantation and then because I'd been so poorly with everything contracting this had come away. They said the cramping in my uterus would be the womb trying to get rid of the blood.
I'm now home feeling lucky today. Lucky that today we had a heartbeat one more small step on this rural journey.
Picture of 'sprout' not much to see but first photo shoot done. Xx
