I had my (almost) 12 week scan today (just couple days off the 12 weeks) and have been advised to finish all my meds; utrogestan, Progynova, lubion and Inhixa at 12 weeks. Am slightly nervous but got to trust the professionals and my body a bit now,
I am also taking vitamin D, folic acid and folate (I take extra folate as I have the MTHFR gene mutation which means my body doesn’t break down folic acid). I asked the midwife today about the vitamins and she was a bit non commital about stoping or taking vitamins. Does anyone have advice or can share examples of how long they continued taking vitamins?
Thank you!

On my two successful pregnancies I was just told vitamin D and folic acid and the midwives wouldn't comment on anything else. No-one said anything about stopping even those though, although I guess you only really need them for the first trimester. I just carried on taking everything I'd taken in early pregnancy until birth (apart from aspirin a week or so before) and had healthy babies.
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I’m starting 150mg aspirin at the weekend. Reassuring to know you continued with the vitamins until just before and had healthy babies 🥰
congratulations on your pregnancy 💞 I only took vit d & folic acid in folate form pre pregnancy & after transfer. I have continued to take both but added in omega 3 with DHA. I am currently 32wks x
Thank you so much for replying, massive congratulations on your pregnancy too. Sounds like I can continue and won’t do any harm. Feel like I’m questioning everything 😬
Hi and congratulations! I was told to take pregnancy vitamins and make sure there is no vitamin A in them (some have it!). I took pregnancy gummies, vitamin D spray and probiotics throughout my pregnancy. Very best of luck!
I am still taking my Wild Nutrition vitamins and not been told to stop, currently 17w3d. Its got vit d and folate, as well as it keeping my iron levels good. I am going to carry on
