Measuring 3 days behind

hello! Not sure if anyone is able to help but wondered if anyone has experienced anything similar and had a good outcome. I’ve been having a lot of scans due to a recent mmc. I’m currently 9+5 but baby is measuring 9+2. Gradually over the last few scans baby has been measuring one day less each time. All the sonographers are not worried but I don’t feel comfortable with the decline in measurements. Is this something I should be worried about? X

This happened to me two weeks ago and the baby caught up. I asked was that normal and they said yes. I wouldn’t be too concerned

Thanks so much for sharing, that’s really helpful to know and glad your baby caught up! X

Hi hun, it is hard to belief but do not try to worry too much if the sonographers are not worried. I was pretty much 4-5 days behind every scan from 6-7 weeks and googled sooo much but reality is that in the early days even half a mm can mean days of a difference so the accuracy varies as well as who performs the scan.

Even at my 20 week scan my little one was on the smaller side but again they weren’t worried. Also I think with IVF because we know the dates of transfer we stress more. If it was a normal pregnancy they would have just adjusted your due date and told you you might have ovulated earlier or later depending on scan results and you wouldn’t have thought anything else of it.

I hope the 12 week scan will come round quickly and everything will be well!

Thank you so much for sharing! You’re so right about it being ivf and knowing our dates. Also might explain why I can’t find much out there on the internet when I’m crazily Googling it!! Thanks again. ♥️X

Hi there, try not to worry, this is totally normal. Tiny mm in measurements make big changes in dates at this stage. Ultrasound measurements can be plus or minus 5 days which is a huge margin. Trust in the sonographer, they are going this all the time & would let you know if there was anything they were concerned with.x

Thank you so much ♥️ I know, the measurements are so teeny but I just worry about the downward trend but hopefully doesn’t mean anything! Thanks again x
