I’ve been having weekly scans and everything is going great. Baby is growing perfect and fast! So I’m suppose to be 9w5d however baby is measuring at 10w2d. No complaints just wondering about due date changing because midwife said no we don’t change IVF due dates but then a clinic nurse and a different midwife/sonographer has said yes and changed it to suit measurements. I’m just curious so thought I would ask while I’m sat up eating my petit filous at 5.45am as it’s the only thing stopping my sickness. Thank you! Xxx

Has anyones due date changed with IVF?
we changed by the time a few days x
I think with IVF because they know the exact dates, your official due date doesn't generally change, but as the baby measures ahead or slows down at different stages, they take that into account for when it's likely you may go into labour or may need to be induced. My official date has been the same throughout as it was based on age of blast and date of transfer, then at different scans they've said she's been generally about right or more recently 3 weeks ahead! Looks like I'll be having a section and they're planning that for 38-39 weeks, but have said she may be early based on recent growth, but who knows. Good luck with the nausea btw!
Hi I had my viability scan which put me at 7 weeks 4 days with my ivf clinic but I should have been 7 weeks 3 days, my due date from my ivf clinic would be 1/8/22 but baby measured bigger on all my scans and midwife went by my 12 week dating scan and measurements not by my ivf dates and I’m now due 29/7/22 xx
Ours changed once early on but then it stuck after dating scan and was spot on IVF due date 💗 it can change depending on measuring at the time eg who’s measuring and baby’s position.x
He he .. had a little chuckle about your early morning petit filous 😄 I was told the same about IVF dates not being changed but my date was shifted twice but only by a day each
Measurements are inaccurate before 12 weeks (which is why dating for conventional pregnancies waits until this time) as 1mm here n there may add/lose days. Whether your DD changes at the 12w scan varies by who does it. When I had mine, the ultrasonographer midwife was incredulous when I asked if the DD could change for an IVF baby based on measurements as we knew the exact date of conception, which is far more accurate than any scan for dating-your baby isn’t going to come out earlier or later just because it’s slightly larger or smaller. Yet others on here have said their date was changed at 12w 🤷🏻♀️ xx
Ha! I had a thing for petit filous in my first trimester too. Hmmm 🤔 my midwives asked for the date the ivf clinic gave and they said they take that date and they don’t change it. They haven’t told me how the measuring stacks up just because every time they clarify the original due date with me. I suppose regardless of how the baby is growing it is “that” old and yet this is never an exact science
With my first ivf pregnancy I remember my baby would measure ahead sometimes by 5 days but my doctor didn't change due date and I actually have birth one day earlier! With this pregnancy (25 weeks) baby also measuring one week ahead and doctor told me she would not change due date as well.
Wish you luck!
