Thank you for sharing, it really helps. I hope you continue to get on well. I was due one next week but have postponed it as trying to lose weight before they put me on hrt. I think I now have endo on my stomache or liver as have awful back ache all the time but worse just before period. Xxx

I had mine almost 12 weeks ago and also feel amazing, its like a new lease of life. Glad you're feeling great too. Still trying to find the right hrt for me, the one they prescribed has left me more hormonal and mood swingy than I am without any, just need something for the flushing buy share I will get there.

Xx

Thank you ladies for giving those pondering a hysterectomy but scared have hope! I'd be interested to know roughly what led up to the hysterectomy ie endo, adhesions and what medications and surgeries you tried beforehand. I am menopausal and tried Zoladex but have adhesions widespread due to years and years of endo and repeat surgeries. I get right pelvic pinching when I sit, feel a bit sick, low back pain, bowel problems, urination urgency (boringly frequent trips to the loo which affect sleep) pain on waking (pressure in bowel and bladder and hip pain and fatigue 'sound familiar'? The gyne who did my lap and hysteroscopy and removed widespread endo and adhesions which had glued ovary to bowel, stump of tube to bowel the other side and endo/adhesions in stomach (removed as much as 'safe' to do so due to proximity to bowel) horrible op and stayed in as it was so bad. Pain went magically then started to return with a vengeance! Now I have permanent pinching and all the above symptoms and there is debate particularly within myself if a hysterectomy would worsen my adhesions or whether it might do the trick. I have psyched myself up into a state of terror over such a big op and it's recovery time and whether it would work to the point I am avoiding seeing the Gp for fear of being referred. I presume you would have a lap first before a hysterectomy? It is wondeful to hear success stories and I thank you again. Right now I can't imagine what it is like to be pain free and not need medication. I have been suffering for a long time.

so good to hear positive outcomes, i've just been told i need a full hysterectomy inc ovaries, so am worried they won't remove the endo, and also the old removal of ovaries/hrt saga, just wondered what your situations were? i'm 41 with older children so no issues about actually having it done, but want to be sure they attempt to remove the endo xx

This is so good to hear. I'm having a lap assisted total vaginal hysterectomy in July. I know this is the best option for me but still a little worried. He wants to leave ovaries as I'm 37 but I'm not sure, as its likely to mean more surgery. Anyway, just glad your recovery is going so doing well. I hope it works for me xx

Wonderful news! 5 weeks time I will be packing my bags and hopefully be saying Cheerio endo and good riddance. Full hysterectomy op 15 May,I'm so ready. You, lovely lady have made me want it more such a wonderful liberating read, thank you so much for sharing such a positive blog. Here's to new beginnings, cheers J xx

I had severe right sided abdo pain diagnosed last april with endo struggled with urination and bowels for years tho .Had Decaptyl injections which took over 4 months to start working .Have hap 2 laps and appendix out so have severe adhesions the abdo pain was awful i had no quality of life what so ever literally had to drag myself to work..now i have a new lease of life its unbelievable all that horrid pain has gone have started on HRT but not really had any problems only went on HRT cos of osteoporosis risk. Never ever believed I would feel this good > I do have gallstones so struggling a bit with them but its not like constantly the dragging down feeling of endo . Good luck ladies hope you get on top of your symptoms soon , big hugs

Wendy xx

PS good luck J it is painful for a few days but do your exercises post op they helped me enormously xxx

Ps I am just 45 (last week ) they took my ovaries glad they did to be honest x

My endo was mainly bladder but change in hormones relieves symptoms as would if pregnant or post menopause

Sorry ladies keep remembering things :- SEx is no longer painful either :) :):)
