Today I have really bad pains in my lower abdomen and hips especially my right hip which is making me shuffle about like an old lady. So wishing it would ease x
Hip pain: Today I have really bad pains in... - Endometriosis UK
Hip pain
The hip pain is caused either because endo in the right lower pelvic area affects nerves, or because endo is removed and the nerves are damaged/irritated (like in my case).
One way or another is painful :/
Hope you feel better soon x
OMG the pain in my hips especially when sitting is awful, it's actually not too bad when walking x
I have hips pain too ...
Me too, hip pain can be adhesions (scar tissue) tethered to other organs and accompanying nerve pain. Someone told me endo can grow it's own nerve supply, can anyone confirm this? If your ovary sticks to your bowel, bladder, tubes or pelvic wall with filmy adhesions, when your bladder and bowel is full or you are sitting it can pinch and pull. Women have alot of organs in close proximity in a small space, throw in endo lesions with inflammation especially likely to be made worse by each surgery, the inflammation makes scar tissue a gluey substance that can stick to other organs which cause pain.
Mine started 10 years ago after surgery ...
Thanks I had mine prior to surgery as well and I was all stuck up but after op whilst sore I had much more mobility.
Same here, i had mine prior to lap and after surgery hip pain is on and off but more severe, in my case they had to cut some "insignificant" nerves to remove all endo from the root.
It takes time to settle, and in my case no painkillers work, so i've started acupuncture x
I'm finding no painkillers work either - how is acupuncture going or is to early to say? x
I had 2 sessions so far, I had some relief, in total more days/hours good than bad. So I'm being optimistic that it will work 100% at the end.
You might want to give it a try.
My pain was so bad that they had to give me various drugs (gabapentin, pregabalin etc) to help me, none worked, side effects were horrible and I decided to come off everything and stick to acupuncture etc. It is hard but it will get better (fingers x )lol xx
I'm so pleased to hear that it seems to be working and will keep my fingers crossed that it continues to do so. Yes I think I might give it a go. Thanks for that x
