Endo in my stomach muscle after c-section.

6 months ago I noticed a lump in my groin which swelled and was painful after exercise and at certain times in my cycle. Thankfully I have private insurance and had ct and mri scans after which I was led to believe I had a 2.5cm desmoid tumour in one of my stomach muscles. However after a biopsy last week, I have just found out I have endometriosis!!? Apparently cells must have transferred there 7 years ago when i had a c-section. I have never been aware that I have ever had endometriosis. Not sure what the next step is as by the looks of x-rays etc it take up the whole of my muscle, so not sure how they are going to remove it. Anyone else had this?

Thanks

Sounds more like a Hernia!

That's what I thought it was originally, but I have biopsy results now which say its endometriosis.

Hello,

I've got abdominal wall endometriosis, they're not sure if it came through my c-section scar or an old laparoscopy scar. The lump I can feel on my stomach is about 6 inches by 11/2 inch, they're normally alot bigger inside. I had it removed last year - I went into the operation thinking it was a hernia & found out it was endo when I woke up. Unfortunately the lump has come back though & I've got another op 2 weeks today, this time with a gyneachologist so hopefully, now I'm seeing a specialist, they should be able to get rid of it for good! They have to remove the lump, any scar tissue around it & any parts of the muscle and bone that it's fused to. It's really painful so I hope you manage to get yours sorted out! x

Hiya, ive had 5 laps now for my endo, and im just 18! I had a lump on my left side right by a scar, after exercise, stressing out or anything that made my body work faster use to give me such bad pain! It turns out because of my laps my scar tissue & nerve endings had clumped together and wouldnt close, so they were constantly sending pain signals out and obviously exercise etc was making them work faster so pain got worse! when i had the lump removed it turned out that it was the nerves and it had clumped around endo. im wondering if maybe yours is similar, it may not be endo, but it could be nerve endings not shutting. It took a real fight to get my gyne to look into it, but i got there in the end! I still have a small lump, and its still painful, but nothing compared to what it was :) make sure you get it investigated properly! its deffinately worth it! dont give up without a fight!

The appropriate treatment is to do an excision of the area. In most cases this can be done without removing anything but the tumor and surrounding fat, which leads to complete resolution of the symptoms.
