I’m from the US but this forum has been a big help for me! Question: has anyone delevoped endo/symptoms after a c-section? I never had health issues or endo symptoms until I had my son via c-section in 2016. Took over a year to finally be diagnosed with stage one endo. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Endo after C-section
Yes. Mine started about 1-2yrs after my section. Thought it was just adhesions to start with and too 10yrs for a proper diagnosis. Most likely time to develop it due to disturbing everything in there.
Oh gosh, 10 years! I hate that for you. I’m happy you finally got answers.
What’s your symptoms
Chronic/intense nausea daily, loss of appetite, weight loss, constipation, ill feeling during ovulation, ovarian aches and cramp all month long. My period is very light (used to be normal) and I barely bleed now. I’m ill my entire period and it makes all my symptoms worse. I take anti nausea meds and that adds to the constipation 🤦🏽♀️
U get symptoms before u come on period I’ve not been diagnosed yet but I think it endo as I get pain 1-2 weeks before period it’s agony and nausea then when I come on it eased of after 2 days of been on doc said I should try the mini pill which I can’t deal with this every month and I rather try that they have a op which don’t fancy heard so much story’s of people got worse
Hi there, not sure if this is any help, but I already had endo before my C-section, but about 1 year later it got much worse. I was told by the surgeon that the internal scar tissue that forms after the C-section increases the available surface area and provides a perfect bumpy surface for the adhesions/lesions to attach to! You may have already been predisposed to endo but it hadn't developed to a problematic level until the C-section.
Makes total sense. I’m the fourth generation on my moms side to get endometriosis. All the women in my family had classic symptoms unlike me so I had to beg for the surgery. Luckily it was caught in stage one and I’m praying that it can be maintains and possibly a partial hysterectomy will help since it’s not currently causing pain (all the women in my fam had hysterectomies at 28-30 yrs of age). How did they handle your endo after your csection?
After the C-section I went on to have two lap surgeries to remove some of the lesions, but unfortunately I now have bowel involvement so things haven't really improved. I know that a hysterectomy will probably be needed at some point down the line, but I'm determined to wait as long as I can. I find that when I eat well (ie no gluten, dairy or soy, but high veg and wholegrains) and I exercise regularly, the symptoms are much more controllable.
Hi there. Yes I experienced the same, I'm sure I had endo since i started having periods but my consultant said the same that my c-section was the catalyst in its accelerated growth xx
Gosh, I wish I had known this before my csection! How was your endo handled after your csection and how are you feeling these days?
