Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows if you can take paracetamol on top of taking amitriptyline? I am taking a small dose of that in the evenings and it had been helping with the pain but I am now finding by mid-morning that I am experiencing more pain and discomfort again.

Sx

Hi Smiley

I take amitriptyline, codeine and paracetamol regularly. I dont think I could manage without the paracetamol and always pick up the maximum number of packets when I'm in the supermarket or chemist!!. I also have strong medication prescribed for migraine and havent been told not to take additional pain relief from a recent visit to my GP. If you have found a mix of medication that works for you and keeps the pain under control then keep going.
