Hysterectomy

Hi there I am new to this site and wondered if anyone has had success with a hysterectomy. I have already had two laps and I have been offered provera to see if it would be successful. Thks

Hiya up until three weeks ago i was on provera tablet form! i had hot sweats, but they do fade, indigestion and felt so tired, but i have had to come off it as i became very itchy in patches all over my body! BUT i was almost pain free and no periods. you may gain weight but i was very careful and have lost a stone and a half!!! everyone is so different, defo give it a go. I found out i have to have a hysterectomy, so im trying to prepare myself for that. good luck xx

i was on provera tablets last year and had no period at all for 8 months and i hate it as it was giving me moody, depressed and cant do anything and now i am on norgeston and it does bleed but it lessen the moody and the depression, so give it time and see what you think and if you are not happy with this and then go back to the GP or Gynaelogist and they can then suggest a different one ok x

Thanks Tinker241, , saw the gynae on tuesday and he is putting me forward for a hysterectomy!, just got to put up with the pain a little longer! x

im wondering the same as I am booked in to have hysterectomy tomorrow so got the last minute doubts n stuff n looking to try and ease my mind a bit .
