Hi all, i have stage 4 endo. I have had some surgery and am scheduled for more extensive surgery on deep infiltrating endo, rectal endo and adenomyosis. I have just had my 3rd Zoladex injection (I had previously used it for 18 months ahead of first surgery), also using Evorel Conto for add back. Anyway, after the 3rd injection, which I had today, I've started to take Dimetrum (dienogest 2mg) pills. My consultant has said that after 1 month of taking these it will be effective as a contraceptive but as it isn't licenced, he can't say that on the record. Has anyone else used this as contraception? Ive read the leaflet in the box and it says not licenced as contraceptive. Thanks very much.

Hi there, I am so sorry to hear what you're going through. I am on dienogest and it was made very clear to me it's not a contraceptive. It has so far post surgery been very effective in managing my endo condition though, fingers crossed
