Dienogest

If people don’t mind sharing, what side effects do you have with Dienogest? My main ones are constant spotting, I haven’t stopped spotting for about 3 months, I also get a lot of breast aching. Lastly, if I am late on my Dienogest by even an hour, I almost have a full period.

Just wondering if anyone has had issues with blood pressure changes while taking dienogest? I’m also on medication for high BP, which has had it under control for years. But since taking dienogest (5 months) it’s gone from normal to high.

He had put me on dienogest straight after my op which I have took since. I raised concerns of increasing headaches/migraines since being on dienogest and also sleep/mood issues. The gynaecologist said there is no way the dienogest would be causing this.

My GP and the ophthalmologist recommend I stop the Dienogest and then review when I see the gynae at my next appointment in a couple of weeks. Has anyone had any weird side effects like this? I’m concerned the Dienogest has increased my blood pressure as my vision gets worse with exercise.

what’s dienogest like for pain

After my lap and removal of endometrioma 4cm cyst (no other endo found) the consultant said I should swap to dienogest before my follow up appointment. I’m a bit scared to take this because of the side effects and like the mini pill.

Previously, I tried the Dienogest pill, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me and caused severe acne. I would also like to source the best doctor for conducting the surgery and get a second opinion.

I currently have the mirena coil and take dienogest but so far it hasn’t done a thing to help. Has anyone else had Ryeqo, and did it help? Were there any bad side effects? Thank you in advance <3

We were discussing having my Mirena out and going on Dienogest and having another MRI to consider surgical options until I mentioned I'm having perimenopause symptoms.

Begging some life experience… I’ve been on dienogest 6 months now, during this period my perimenopause symptoms have, well, let’s just say, escalated! Possibly nothing to do with the medication I hasten to add, they were coming on well before that.

Currently on dienogest, will it just return full force if I stop taking this or can I have natural cycles? What are peoples experiences?

Hi has anyone been prescribed Dienogest before a diagnostic lap at all? Or do they only prescribe it after you’ve had a lap and confirmed diagnosis of endo? Thanks

I tried Dienogest (stopped due to thinking it had affected my vision but turns out it was optic neuritis). Got prescribed tranexamic acid and mefenamic acid which helped a bit but still got pains at other times of the month.

I’ve had lots of specialists over this course of time and my newest specialist has told me to come off prostap and has given me “the new wonder drug” dienogest. Im worried this tablet isn’t going to be as strong as the prostap. Does anyone here take it or has gone from prostap to dienogest?

Am on dienogest which I was told should help to relieve pain over time but no such luck so far :( appreciate any thoughts. Best wishes to all.
