Dienogest

Hello everyone, Is anyone having trouble getting Dienogest from their local pharmacy? Mine can’t say when it will be available. Thanks

Just wondering if anyone has had issues with blood pressure changes while taking dienogest? I’m also on medication for high BP, which has had it under control for years. But since taking dienogest (5 months) it’s gone from normal to high.

He had put me on dienogest straight after my op which I have took since. I raised concerns of increasing headaches/migraines since being on dienogest and also sleep/mood issues. The gynaecologist said there is no way the dienogest would be causing this.

what’s dienogest like for pain

My GP and the ophthalmologist recommend I stop the Dienogest and then review when I see the gynae at my next appointment in a couple of weeks. Has anyone had any weird side effects like this? I’m concerned the Dienogest has increased my blood pressure as my vision gets worse with exercise.

Hello, My consultant has prescribed me Dienogest and was wondering if it is effective? or are there concerns around this? How long are you supposed to take this for? Any additional information anyone can provide regarding this, would be really helpful x

Hi has anyone been prescribed Dienogest before a diagnostic lap at all? Or do they only prescribe it after you’ve had a lap and confirmed diagnosis of endo? Thanks

I’ve had lots of specialists over this course of time and my newest specialist has told me to come off prostap and has given me “the new wonder drug” dienogest. Im worried this tablet isn’t going to be as strong as the prostap. Does anyone here take it or has gone from prostap to dienogest?

The consultant has recommended she could go on Dienogest to try and help. She is scared of what might happen to her. She's currently taking 2 Desogestrel per day to stop her periods and is reluctant to swap as she ends up throwing up with pain when she has her period.

My new GP despite all the letters and actually having the diagnostic reports etc with the specialits approving dienogest as a treatment option said she wouldn’t prescribe dienogest unless I was referred to gynaecology here which might take MONTHS.

Hi All , last year I had excision surgery for my endometriosis and I'm on Dienogest tablet from past 7months and I'm planning for FET and this is my first IVF cycle and I'm feeling nervous.

Begging some life experience… I’ve been on dienogest 6 months now, during this period my perimenopause symptoms have, well, let’s just say, escalated! Possibly nothing to do with the medication I hasten to add, they were coming on well before that.

Currently on dienogest, will it just return full force if I stop taking this or can I have natural cycles? What are peoples experiences?

Am on dienogest which I was told should help to relieve pain over time but no such luck so far :( appreciate any thoughts. Best wishes to all.

Is any of this side effects of dienogest? It’s the only new thing I’m taking other than ducosate for constipation caused by all the painkillers (I’ve had ducosate previously and didn’t have anything like this) Has anyone else had this, does anyone have any suggestions?

I ended up contacting GP who gave me painkillers and put me back on Dienogest. Had a bad night last night, uncomfortable, had to get up to go to toilet, remembered why I came off it. This happened before, got tested for uti but was clear.

They suggested I try a new pill called dienogest and stop my contraceptive pill. Has anyone tried this pill? I wanted to get some feedback if it helped ? Advice will be kindly appreciated.

The doctor prescribed dienogest 2mg for 6 months. Has anyone else been prescribed dienogest after a hysterectomy? Can dienogest cause ovary failure? It's known that medications like Lupron, and dienogest address symptoms rather than stopping endo growth.

I was diagnosed with adeno and endo 3 months ago using a pelvic MRI and put on dienogest which seems to be helping reduce pain. I have a few questions on laproscopy.
