I'm really stuck on whether to try the coil or try a contraceptive pill that someone I know with endo has used for 7 years... It's called cerezette, has anyone tried this? My body reacts badly to most contraceptive pills but apparently this one has hardly any side effects

Help please, coil or cerezette?
I don't know how effective is coil but used cerezette pills in the past and I hate them. Because of this pill I suffered with migraine, acne, anxiety, and was constantly bleeding/ spotting. It wasn't for me. I had implant in my arm as well which also affected me badly. I'm considering now to try mirena coil to prevent endometriosis after my 2nd laparoscopy but not sure yet ... Take care Megvarn X
I didn't get on with Cerazette, I had constant bleeding/spotting with it. I'm going to try Mirena next X
I didn't get on with cerazette - had loads of headaches, it made me anxious and I had a period every 2 weeks. I take Yasmin which seems better than most I've tried - it's not perfect but I seem to be able to tolerate it.
Hope you find something that works.
I had a terrible time on Cerezette too! It gave me horrible headaches, mood swings, acne and constant heavy bleeding that would last weeks xx
Hi, I tried multiple birth control pills but neither stopped my bleeding and my endometriosis grew back. I have now had the coil in for 6 months, after the initial 2 months of spotting until my body adjusted I have not bled since, so hopefully no endo growth! However, it has made my skin very bad but everyone reacts differently so what works for some may not work for others. The pill is easy to stop/start so you might want to give that a go first? Good Luck!
I had the mirena coil for 2 years and my endo got much worse despite not having periods, ended up having a lap to remove cyst and endo. I am now on cerazette which I find really works for me , with the pill at least if it's not for you you can stop taking it easily with the coil I went through a lot to get it removed as the doctor didn't want to remove it. Everyone is different it's trial and error sometimes.
I have just been put on Cerezette and them seem to be working fine. I bled a lot for the first month and a half but it seems to have settled down fine.
I have not had any side effects but then I never have had on other pills (I was on Microgynon for years).
I was actually getting lots of PMS symptoms which have now all stopped since going onto Cerezette.
