Ovulation pain

Hi, I'm ovulating and I'm pretty used to pain when this happens but this time it's next level. It's more painful than my period, I have tried heat and pain killers it's just on my right hand side but going through my pelvis, genitals, rectum and down my leg. I feel nauseated and I have no idea what to do. My doctors have long since given up on me because of the endo and I don't see my consultant till February. Has anyone experienced this?

Hey! I'm currently awaiting diagnosis but told very likely endo. I was literally about to write a post regarding the exact same symptoms around ovulation! I don't know if it's possible with endometriosis, but just before, during and a few days after ovulation is my WORST symptoms ever! Days leading up to and during period are still uncomfortable and I'm very bloated etc but nowhere near as bad as ovulation. I also have the pain in left leg, thigh ,constant urination, lower back pain, rectum pain shooting through vagina etc. it's awful! Xx

With my endo ovulation pain was one of the worst parts of my cycle, especially as I had bilateral cysts.

My consultant put me on prostab injections which helped with my pain, and I am almost 3 weeks post full hysterectomy.

I would suggest that you phone your consultant secretary and explain your worsening symptoms, you might be able to be seen in the gyne assessment unit. Or if your GP put your referral through to the gyne they might be able to expedite it.

I hope you are able to be seen sooner and get the advice you need. It's bad that your GP isn't helping, but it's a problem we hear all too often. Most just don't have the knowledge or expertise to deal with or understand endometriosis.

I also experience this. It's truly awful. I'm not getting very far in terms of diagnosis though. I've had several ultrasounds and transvaginal ultrasounds and they show normal appearances of my uterus and ovaries.

I did notice the ovulation pain definitely intensified after having tubal ligation 2 and a half years ago. I don't know if that is something that applies to you? Xx

I haven't had tubal ligation, but my right ovary was stuck to my side wall, they separated it and then used diathermy on the ovary itself to remove the endometriosis growing on it, they did this in april.
