I have this also hun but I don’t have periods as such as I have the coil . I had that changed recently I also had pelvis clearance for severe endo back in may after two ish months my symptoms came back really bad which I told the consultant in my review or surgery follow up appointment . I had a scan which shows a 5 cm inflamed complex cyst . So for me the endo has started growing back not long after I had my surgery even though I cut out sugar alcohol which I haven’t touched for nearly four years gluten and dairy more recently I mainly eat fish anyway . I don’t honestly know what my next steps are as before my scan he wanted me to just stay under pain clinic as he thought my pain was to do with my womb as it tilts extremely forward . :( . Not sure how long ago your surgery was but honestly depending on how bad the endo is it can grow back more quickly for some than others . I had excision as well . If the pain continues I would see if you can see the consultant again. Please don’t let them gas light you like mine didn’t really believe me I was as in excruciating pain again all he thought was the way my womb tilts to give me slight pain even though it’s pain every single day again but worse on ovulation . Keep your chin up . Xx take care xx

Thanks for the reply - your symptoms are the same as mine.

I had my surgery beginning October - said my pelvis was full of endo and that they had cleared it all. But I’m already back in pain - I knew it would come back but not this soon.

Since my surgery - I’ve cut out wheat , dairy , alcohol and trying to limit sugar - but now I thinking what’s the point it seems to work for some but maybe our symptoms are too bad - i was told next step is hysterectomy- but again I’ve read that doesn’t solve things completely???? Sorry to hear you don’t know what you will do next - will you go back again ? It’s like I only get one feel good week in a month

I’m having a repeat scan this coming week on Friday . If the cyst etc is still there i think the scanner will say something to my consultant . I will say take the ovary’s as I’m done with the pain . I know he prob won’t do full hysterectomy only because of age and that I don’t have children . I’m nearly 39 am autistic I have nephews and nieces and adopted nephews and nieces from my friends children I wouldn’t even be able to cope with a child . Hysterectomy only is a good thing for adenomyaosis as it is the cure for that . Endo no as it can grow again in all the pelvic organs . And there isn’t anything then stopping it for spreading to organs outside the pelvic cavity. But the thing is some people after hysterectomy get very little pain and are free of pain for a few or more years before any other real symptoms come back again . But there isn’t really a lot of study around endo and hysterectomy really so very little is really known whether it can be affective or not. I wanted one also but because they didn’t know whether I needed a bowel resection or not until the surgery luckily I only had a shave but it could have been . And as I had sepsis after my diagnostic lap they didn’t really want to have too many wounds to heal as more risk of sepsis again. . Take care xxxx

I’m exactly the same I had my surgery a month ago and the last week or so the pain feels like I’m having a flare up again where I used to get it worse. Which I was hoping not to have to the extent it is. I know my consultant said she couldn’t remove it from my right fallopian tube. So I’m now doubting myself did the surgery actually work.

I hope you get some relief from the pain or some answers from the consultant if you do see them.

This is one of my symptoms, and after a recent MRI, it was reported that there were several intramural fibroids, the largest is 12mm, and yet has never been picked up via 5 pelvic ultrasounds I have had so far. Maybe arrange for a pelvic MRI if you haven’t had one already.

I had surgery in June and still get lots of pain 2 weeks before my period. Id always assumed it is ovulation pain due to timing but I don’t actually know. Mine is also debilitating some months. Sorry, I don’t have any advice, but you’re not alone if it helps to know that.

Is there anything else you think it could be down to if it’s not ovulation pain ? Im lost to what rude to on it on. As sometimes I think surely if it is ovulation pain it shouldn’t be this bad - sometimes I can’t stand up for the pain is bad.

I totally agree! One of the first times it happened that bad I phoned 111! They said it could be a burst ovarian cyst - but then it started happening most months and always 2 weeks before my period so I think it is ovulation pain but I can’t get my head round it being so bad.
